What do you like best about Asana?

As the first marketing hire at an early-stage startup, I implemented Asana to build structure around our marketing operations from the ground up. Asana was instrumental in streamlining workflows, improving communication across teams, and creating standardized processes for handling ticketing requests. Its flexibility allowed us to quickly organize campaigns, track project milestones, and ensure accountability at every stage of execution. Asana helped lay the operational foundation that scaled with the team's growth and evolving needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Asana?

Some fields, like "Due Date," can’t be renamed—for instance, on our communications calendar template, we used it to represent the publishing date. It’s a minor detail to nitpick, but it shows there really aren’t any major complaints. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?

Before implementing Asana, there was no centralized system to manage marketing operations, track requests, or standardize workflows. Communication was fragmented across emails, chats, and spreadsheets, making it difficult to prioritize tasks, ensure accountability, or maintain visibility across projects. Asana solved this by providing a single platform to streamline task management, formalize processes, and create a clear, scalable system for handling marketing initiatives and ticketing requests. I don't have anything negative to say about Asana. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?

Asana solves key problems in project management by helping teams organise tasks clearly and track progress effectively. It reduces confusion by breaking projects into manageable tasks, ensuring everyone knows their responsibilities and deadlines.

The platform also enhances communication by centralising discussions and file sharing, which cuts down on lengthy email chains. With visual tools like timelines, I can easily monitor project progress and identify any bottlenecks.

Overall, Asana boosts productivity and keeps my team aligned, making it easier to deliver quality results in my role. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Asana?

I love that Asana integrates with many other programs, such as Slack, to keep me on top of my weekly priorities. Our company uses Asana for personal task management and also customer project management. It has been widely adopted here and I can see why. It's smooth, easy once you learn it, and there are so many use cases for it. Great way to add visibility for collaborating teams. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Asana?

I was skeptical when I first joined my new company and found that they used Asana for many things, including onboarding and task management. I am usually a pen and paper girl. It was a bit overwhelming at first, because it has so many capabilities and is a robust tool for something that seems simple. However, I quickly saw the value. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?

Asana insures that I have a full understanding of what I'm working on and what my teammates are doing as well. It helps with collaborating on a project, such as a client proof of concept or a new employee onboarding. It allows multiple people to work on the same thing and is also a great way to keep track of my weekly priorities. I have since ditched the pen and paper lists. What do you like best about Asana?

What I like best about Asana is how easy it was to implement across our organization. The intuitive interface made onboarding seamless, and the prebuilt dashboards provided immediate visibility into project progress without the need for extensive customization. Additionally, the easy navigation and user-friendly design make it simple for end-users at all levels to adopt and stay engaged with their tasks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Asana?

You cannot assign multiple assignees to a task. You must either create subtasks or a custom field to achieve this goal. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?

Asana is solving key challenges around project visibility, accountability, and consistency. Prior to implementation, project tracking varied widely across teams, leading to missed deadlines, unclear responsibilities, and duplicated efforts. With Asana, we now have a centralized platform that provides real-time visibility into project progress, clearer ownership of tasks, and standardized workflows. This has improved cross-functional collaboration, reduced status update meetings, and allowed leadership to make more informed decisions based on live project data Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Asana?

Apparently if you aren't tricked into putting in your CC info, their free tier is solid. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Asana?

I signed up for what I thought was a free trial. Turns out, they required my credit card just to try the platform. I never used the service once, completely forgot about it (the trial was long), and then—without any notice—a charge of $60.98 hits my card.

Let’s set aside how absurd that price is for a basic collaboration tool.

I contacted support, explained that I never used the platform and didn’t even recall entering my credit card. Instead of owning the situation, they shuffled me between three different agents, each one more unhelpful than the last. The end result? No refund. Just a link to their “subscription terms.”

This is a company that’s happy to take your money even if you never used their product. Zero integrity. Zero customer care.

You've been warned. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Asana?

What I really like about using Asana is how much it's streamlined the way our team works. Once I spent some time going through their tutorials and help articles, getting everything set up was pretty straightforward.

It's been a game-changer for keeping everyone aligned—deadlines are clear, tasks don’t fall through the cracks, and it's easy to see who’s responsible for what. The approval workflows and task dependencies are especially helpful for keeping projects on track without constant check-ins.

We’ve been able to move most of our internal communication along with project tracking into Asana, which has made a huge difference. No more digging through endless message threads trying to find who said what—everything’s organized and easy to follow.

I also really appreciate how simple it is to structure and manage different teams. Whether we’re planning a marketing campaign or coordinating logistics across offices, everything lives in one place and everyone’s on the same page. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Asana?

I honestly don't have anything negative to say about Asana. Looking forward to building my company up with the ease of the platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?

One of the things I really value is how Asana helps us stay ahead of deadlines instead of just racing to meet them. Having clear timelines and task visibility means we can actually plan properly—especially when it comes to equipment purchases or workshop upgrades.

The approval feature has been a huge win in that area. Instead of going back and forth over messages or email, we can track requests for new gear, get the green light from the right person, and move forward without delays. It keeps everything moving efficiently, which is crucial when time-sensitive decisions come up. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Asana?

Over the years, I’ve tested more project management tools than I can count — but nothing has matched Asana’s ability to truly transform the way I work. It’s not just software; it’s a strategic partner in productivity. Every day, it helps me prioritize what matters, reduce clutter, and keep every team member on the same page.

What I Like Best About Asana

• Ease of Use: From the moment I logged in, Asana felt intuitive. No steep learning curve, no fluff — just clean, purposeful design that makes it easy to get work done.

• Ease of Implementation: Deploying Asana across my team was seamless. Templates, training resources, and clear onboarding paths made the rollout refreshingly simple.

• Customer Support: Every time I’ve had a question or needed clarification, the support team has been responsive, knowledgeable, and invested in helping me succeed.

• Frequency of Use: Asana isn’t just something I check occasionally — it’s my daily dashboard. From morning planning to end-of-day wrap-ups, I live in Asana.

• Number of Features: It’s loaded with powerful tools — from automations and forms to workload views and project dashboards — yet it never feels bloated.

• Ease of Integration: Asana plays perfectly with the rest of my stack. Integrations with Slack, Google Workspace, Zapier, and others make it feel like the central hub for everything.

Why It Stands Out

Asana evolves with me. New feature rollouts are frequent, relevant, and always focused on real user needs. Whether I’m managing long-term strategy or the fine details of daily execution, it scales beautifully. I’ve used it for product development, marketing campaigns, operations planning — and it adapts every single time.

It’s more than a task manager. It’s a living, breathing system for getting things done — efficiently, collaboratively, and transparently.

If you’re juggling spreadsheets, Slack threads, and sticky notes, you’re missing out on the clarity and momentum that Asana brings. For any team serious about scaling their productivity, Asana isn’t optional — it’s essential. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Asana?

Honestly? There’s nothing I dislike about Asana right now — and that’s rare for any tool I use daily. I’ve had moments with other platforms where workarounds or limitations became frustrating over time. But with Asana, I keep finding new ways it supports my workflow better.

What impresses me most is that any time I think I’ve hit a limitation, I either find a feature I hadn’t fully explored or see that it’s already on their product roadmap. It feels like the team behind Asana is always one step ahead, building exactly what I didn’t even know I needed.

So while I know no platform is perfect, Asana gets closer than any other tool I’ve used — and continues improving faster than I ever expect. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?

Asana is solving the chaos of scattered communication, missed deadlines, and siloed project tracking. Before adopting Asana, project updates lived in emails, Slack messages, spreadsheets, and sticky notes — and it was easy for things to fall through the cracks.

With Asana, everything lives in one transparent, organized workspace. I can visualize progress across multiple teams, assign ownership with clarity, and ensure accountability — all without micromanaging. Dependencies, timelines, files, and conversations are centralized, so I’m not wasting time chasing updates or wondering who’s doing what.

This has led to:

• Faster execution cycles — because no one’s blocked by lack of information.

• Better collaboration — across departments, time zones, and roles.

• Stronger strategic alignment — thanks to tools like Goals, Portfolios, and project dashboards.

Ultimately, Asana frees up mental space, allowing me to focus on creative and strategic work rather than task wrangling. It’s not just a task manager — it’s the operational backbone that powers how I move work forward every day. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Asana?

I've been loving my experience with Asana! As someone who thrives on making lists and tracking tasks to stay productive and efficient, this app has truly become my go-to tool.

Ease of Use: The interface is clean and user-friendly — even as a first-time user, it was easy to navigate and start organizing tasks right away.

Ease of Implementation: Getting started was quick and seamless. I didn’t need any special training or setup time to start using it effectively.

Customer Support: While I haven’t had to reach out often, the help resources available are super helpful and detailed, and I feel confident knowing support is there if I need it.

Frequency of Use: I use Asana every single day to keep track of tasks, collaborate, and stay focused on priorities.

Number of Features: It has everything I need — task assignment, due dates, tags, timelines, integrations, and more. It's packed with features but never feels overwhelming.

Ease of Integration: I love how easily it integrates with tools I already use, like Google Workspace and Slack, which makes the workflow smoother. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Asana?

There’s not much to dislike, honestly! If I had to mention one thing, it would be that under “Projects,” the sort/filter settings don’t stay locked in like they do under “My Tasks.” It would be great if those settings could be saved automatically unless manually changed, just to streamline the workflow even more. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?

Asana helps me avoid overwhelm by turning all my ideas, tasks, and to-dos into structured, manageable lists. It solves the problem of juggling multiple responsibilities by giving me a clear overview of priorities, deadlines, and progress. That clarity helps me stay focused, meet deadlines, and feel accomplished at the end of each day. It’s like having a personal assistant that keeps everything on track. What do you like best about Asana?

Three months ago, our team transitioned from paper checklists and endless email threads to Asana, and the impact has been transformative. Initially, there was some resistance, but now we can’t imagine reverting to our old ways. The training webinars were a standout, simplifying company-wide adoption and enabling daily use.

Asana’s transparency is a game-changer—everyone can see each team member’s progress on a project. I particularly appreciate the task dependency feature, where my tasks activate only after preceding ones are completed, eliminating the need for constant email updates to track project status. Custom templates have removed ambiguity around task completion, and the notes feature ensures delays are clearly documented and understood.

The platform’s intuitive design means we’ve rarely needed customer support, though I’m confident they’d be responsive if we did. Asana has undeniably boosted our team’s productivity, streamlining workflows and enhancing clarity. Thank you, Asana! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Asana?

I have not really found anything that I dislike about Asana. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Asana has eliminated the inefficiencies of paper checklists and back-and-forth email communication by providing a transparent platform where project progress is clear to all team members. It has resolved confusion around task completion through custom templates and notes, ensuring clarity on statuses and reasons for delays. Additionally, the task dependency feature has streamlined workflows by triggering tasks only when prerequisites are met, saving time and reducing manual follow-ups. Asana has transformed how I work. It makes task management easier, enhances my productivity, and ensures I stay on top of all my responsibilities. Whether it’s keeping my tasks organized, tracking progress, or managing multiple projects. One of the features I appreciate the most is how my boss adds tasks for me. It makes it easy to not only see all my tasks but also filter and view them by different projects, ensuring I don’t lose track of anything important. I find myself using Asana daily, if not multiple times a day. It’s become my go to tool to keep a close eye on my tasks and their progress. Whether it’s completing tasks or simply checking in on what’s coming up it is just so user-friendly. The calendar view is especially helpful for managing individual tasks it allows me to put my own tasks into calendar and make sure to stay on top of follow-ups I have to do to achieve the task that have been assigned to me.
