I love how it constantly follows up with reminders and keeps me on my toes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes I find that tagging people in tasks doesn't notify them to follow up. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Asana has an intuitive design that makes it easy to jot notes down on the go. This is great for notating one's own personal action items during meetings, or for writing tasks for the whole group to share collaboratively. The interface makes it easy to select who the task is assigned to as well as the due date in just a couple of clicks.
The global search feature is easily my favorite. This allows me to pull up any task with just a key word to quickly find what I'm looking for. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
While the check mark feature is great for checking off tasks, this can pose a problem for collaborative projects. While I may have completed a task for myself, I can't check it off only for myself without everyone on the team seeing it as checked off — even if they haven't completed the same task for themselves. However, this can be remedied by copying to project to one's personal Asana interface and checking it off there. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I love how easy it has been to track my tasks and keep an eye on progress. It helps break down big projects into smaller, more manageable tasks and makes sure all parties know who is assigned to what task with high visibility. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The only criticism I can think of, is that projects get a little buggy when multiple people are trying to edit something at once. I'd try to aim for a more stable experience in those moments. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
My experience with the "Getting Started with Asana" live training was positive and informative. The session provided a solid foundation for understanding the core functionalities of the platform and how it can be effectively used for project management.
What I found most helpful was the clear demonstration of how Asana consolidates project communication in one central location. This feature appears to be a significant advantage for team collaboration and keeping everyone on the same page.
The various project views offered by Asana are also a definite plus. It's great that the tool caters to different work styles by allowing users to visualize project information in a way that best suits their preferences, whether it's a list, board, or calendar view. As for what I like least, I haven't had enough hands-on experience working within the tool yet to determine any specific drawbacks. I'm still in the early stages of exploring its features and functionalities. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It's the best, cleanest, and funnest UI. It's the easiest task-management software to teach my team and has a welcoming design. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I am in the process of trying to sell my management on getting an asana description, and I'm always a bit hung up on the same things.
1. Colored text- This would be huge for helping to emphasize and highlight the body of tasks.
2. Multiple "Messages" tabs in a project - I want a place to track about daily updates, and I want a page for project specific messages.
3. Multiple "List Views" in projects, with the ability to change sections/fields - My tasks for a project may vary in what department handles them and the information I need for them.
4. Portfolios not showing specific tasks within a project - I want to see within the gant veiw of a portfolio exactly which milestones a project still needs to hit. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I've used Asana across multiple teams and project types, from marketing campaigns to product development. Compared to other project management tools like Trello, Monday, or ClickUp, Asana is my favorite-- especially when it is used to it's full potential. The best part about Asana is how it centralizes everything- tasks, files, conversations, deadlines - all in one place. Instead of wasting time digging through emails to Slack threads to figure out where things are at, you can just open Asana and get straight to work. It really helps to manage the sense of overhwelm. The biggest challenge isn't the software - it's the people. Getting buy-in from team members who have never used project management tools before can be tough. There's a learning curve, and some people resist the structure it introduces. They prefer using things like Google calendar, inbox, or paper lists to manage their tasks, and think that moving to a new platform creates more work. It's just not true, but a real obstacle to overcome. But usually once people are on board, the improvement in team alignment and productivity is noticeable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We've been using Asana as our primary project management tool, and it has truly transformed the way we organize and track our work. Its clean, intuitive interface makes it easy for team members at all levels to stay aligned on tasks, deadlines, and responsibilities.
One of the biggest strengths of Asana is its flexibility. Whether we’re managing complex architectural projects or handling day-to-day administrative tasks, Asana allows us to create custom workflows that suit each project's specific needs. The ability to view tasks in different formats—like lists, boards, calendars, or timelines—is especially useful for visualizing progress and adjusting priorities.
Collaboration has also improved significantly. Team members can comment directly on tasks, attach files, and update statuses in real time, which keeps communication streamlined and centralized. Notifications and reminders ensure that nothing falls through the cracks.
We also appreciate the individual calendars and workload views, which help us balance responsibilities across the team and keep everyone accountable without micromanaging.
Overall, Asana has become an indispensable tool in our workflow. It’s reliable, user-friendly, and continually improving with new features that help us stay productive and focused. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
everything is fine. I really dont have any bad thinks to say about it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What I like most about Asana is how easy it makes it to stay organized and keep everyone on the same page. The interface is clean and intuitive, so even if you're new to it, it doesn’t take long to get comfortable. I love being able to switch between list, board, and calendar views depending on what I’m working on, and the ability to set up automations for repetitive tasks is a real time-saver. It also makes team collaboration seamless—you can leave comments, assign tasks, set deadlines, and everything stays in one place. Plus, it integrates with all the other tools we use, which just makes life easier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Nothing as such that I dislike about Asana Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We chose Asana to take our project management to the next level. Our company is growing and now it's not enough to communicate via email or messengers. Now it's important to keep track of projects, see notifications about status changes, and respond quickly to changes.
The main mistake people make is that they don't learn the basic functionality and don't understand how to use features like Inbox, My Tasks, and Rules.
The program is also fast. The developers have thought for us about what we need to work and we don't need a lot of customization Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
So far, I haven't found anything I don't like. The whole team needs to master the existing functionality first Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The organizational features are excellent. You can group tasks into sections, use tags and custom fields for categorization, and create project templates to save time on recurring workflows. Notifications and inbox features are thoughtfully designed—not overwhelming, but effective at keeping you informed.
Overall, Asana makes it simple to stay organized, prioritize work, and collaborate across teams. It’s a great tool for teams of any size looking to boost clarity and efficiency without a steep learning curve. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Nothing. I love Asana! I wish I could convert all of my colleagues to the platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Asana has really helped me to manage my client work and keep track of everything within this side of the business. I couldn't run my business without it! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I find it can be a bit clunky, there's a lot of great features but they lack depth. There's a few small but important features that are missing, like additional filtering on the My Tasks page, issues with repeating tasks when the task has sub tasks, etc. I found all of these issues come up as feature requests from people in the past but they haven't been implemented in years.
I'm still in the process of trying to figure out the best way to set it up for my business, but I do find there to be a lack of resources on specific use cases, so you're left to figure it out yourself. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
