ZAP Data Hub has been a great fit for us, allowing our reporting & analytics to keep pace as the business grew rapidly from a small to a medium sized enterprise. Through this transition, we have used ZAP to move beyond legacy Excel sheets and connect our disparate systems into one platform.
The best thing about the platform has been the ease of use. We did not need a team of data engineers to implement and maintain it. Instead, a small team of data analysts from across the business were able to quickly learn how to use the data modelling functionality. This meant we were able to ingest data, transform it and build a custom semantic model available for enterprise-wide reporting in about 12 weeks. Since then, we have been able to further build it out and meet more advanced reporting needs. We now have about 50-60 weekly users using a wide range of reports across Sales, Production and Finance.
When we did get stuck, the ZAP support and consultancy teams have always been super helpful and quick to respond. Special shoutout to Marcia! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The plug and play nature of ZAP Data Hub means that the services it can connect to is inevitably more limited than those offered by a cloud data integration platform such as Fivetran or Azure. But this is to be expected.
We have seen issues with very large Excel files being ingested into the platform. However, we have been able to work-around this quite easily by splitting files into smaller components.
It would be nice if ZAP could implement a 'try... except' error handling mechanism in order to make the model processing more robust. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
ZAP Data Hub allows for easy data integration easy by automating the ETL process of data from various sources into a central hub. This reduces manual effort and ensures data consistency.
The platform allows me to build pipelines from Navision tables that will directly feed into Power BI reports via analysis services. It also offers version control and full auditability, making it easy to track changes.
I am also able to benefit from a 24-hour support via Zendesk, ensuring smooth operations and quick issue resolution whenever needed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I’ve had a great experience with ZAP and haven’t encountered anything I’d consider a drawback. There roadmap seems to allways allign with Smiffys II as we look to make the next steps. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
From a Syspro perspective, it is pre-configured which makes implementation a breeze. Our finance and commercial teams use the reports on a daily basis to manage their respective areas. We have also successfully integrated other SQL data sources with relative ease. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The format and style options on the graphs is limited. Also the fact that there is not a mobile app has forced us to consider Power BI as an additional output. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Zap does everything, from the heavy lifting of big data, to intuitive ETL/ELT processes, to intuitive and flexible reporting capabilities. Having these functions all in one place has been essential to our operations. They continue to support us through the process. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I know that some of the "dislikes" are already in progress, but interoperability with MS Office apps and, eventually, MS Fabric will be very empowering. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It's easy to implement. The consultant assigned to us was very supportive, responsive, and knowledgeable throughout the process.
The reporting functionality is clean and links seamlessly with ERP. It has saved us a lot of time and manual effort. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
While the dashboard looks good, it takes a bit of effort to trace back where certain data are coming from, especially when trying to verify data integrity or troubleshoot discrepancies. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
- Good support from the Zap Team
- New features/products released often (ie excel integration) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Zap Data Hub makes it easy to create custom reports in Sage 100, enabling us to analyze key sales data much faster and more efficiently. Their consultants make it east to integrate with Sage. I use it more than Sage 100 itself. Customer support is quick to response if any issues arise. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Minor limitations with exporting larger reports into single Excel file, which I believe they are working on adding. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Zap allows daily visibility into key metrics of our business that were historically difficult to extract and review. Our leadership team uses Zap on a daily basis to make better decisions, much faster, enabling us to "GSD" - get stuff done. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I haven't identified anything that I dislike. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Ease of use and access to real-time data in any dimesion you can imagine, grouped and summarized to give you digestable data with the flexibility to expand out to the line by line detail needed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It's not as easy to build out other data sources with the development team when it's no thteir bread and butter SYSPRO/other major ERP partners with out of the box solutions Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
