There are many things to like about Xactly, but 2 of the main points are the flexibility of the system to do what YOU want or need to do for your business purposes instead of being constricted to what they systems capabilities are , and the reporting platform is amazing. Xactly is integrated into my salesforce instance. It makes it very easy to see my progress toward my OTE by reviewing Zactly on a weekly basis to track closed deals and payouts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There isn't much to dislike at this time. I've worked for many sales organization and Xactly seems to be the standard. I'm very used to it at this point. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Versioning of people, position, quota etc is one of the most awesome feature that Xactly. I love this feature because I have not seen this in systems like Oracle incentive compensation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Below few points that i dislike:
1) I wish lookup tables would have shown total count of line items added.
2) A custom option to run calculation batch only for few reps would be a great option to have.
3) Once batch is run and payments are released we cannot go and rerun the same batch again as release gets affected during that process, there is a workaround but its cumbersome.
4) Reporting has to be improved a lot, its hassle to build reports in Xatly Analytics Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I don't like Xactly in any of its capacities. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The UX is arguably the worst I have ever had to interface with at my company. The reporting doesn't map to the needs of our business and the information is often, at best, faulty and not correct. Xactly has been referred to as "Almostly" within our company pretty much since its adoption. The worst part of my job is the week-to-week management of frustration my team brings to me with this faulty tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It is an easy tool to learn and gives a clear view of commissions and bonues. The dashboards are pretty easy to navigate. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The user interface can be improved. It looks very plain and vanilla Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Xactly has been relatively intuitive and simple. I really love the Search Orders and Results. Makes it easy to pull the data from the site in order to understand how the engine is calculating the results. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
2 big issues we have run into:
1) Unreleasing released commissions. It took us way too long in order to figure out and understand how to do so. And the time that we did it without uploading a template...I can't even recall how we solved that issue. Probably had to call customer support for that. This process should be more intuitive than it currently is.
2) The new UI changes. Last year we were told the old UI was going away and we panicked because the new UI was not only new and unfamiliar, but it also lacked the functionality of the old UI. The Heirarachy data pulls wouldn't work and I just couldn't understand why Xactly would push such a buggy UX on your customers. Perhaps to attract new users with a flashy update? IDK but man I hope you never lose the old UI. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There is a good overview look at each of your commissions and if you want details you can drill down on an opportunity basis. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There are ceratin features that don't seem to work or are implemented. The incentitives tab should be removed if we don't use it or have access...can be confusing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
