Slack is a very helpful app for team communication. You can send messages, share files, and talk in groups called channels. It helps everyone stay organized and work better together.
You can also send private messages to people. It works well with other apps like Google Drive and Zoom, which makes work faster and easier. You can search old messages easily and get only the notifications you want.
Sometimes, Slack can be slow if your team is very big or if your phone or computer is old. Also, the free version does not save all messages for a long time.
Overall, Slack is a great tool for teams to talk and work together in one place. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Nothing all good. Sometimes, Slack can be slow if your team is very big or if your phone or computer is old. Also, the free version does not save all messages for a long time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I love how Slack keeps all my team communication organized in one place, channels make it easy to separate topics and the mention function is a lifesaver when I need to find all where i have been tagged. Integration with Jira, Datadog, confluence and other tools makes it easy to keep an eye on everything at a go without switching out tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The notification can get really overbearing when you belong to so many channels— If you weren't tagged on important messages, it’s easy to miss important messages if you’re not careful about muting the right channels or setting up alerts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Slack makes team communication effortless and immediate. I love how channels keep conversations focused by topic, and how integrations with tools like Google Drive, Zoom, and Jira streamline our workflow. The interface is clean, intuitive, and the search function makes it easy to find past messages or shared files. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Slack enables faster collaboration and decision-making compared to email. Threads help reduce clutter, and the ability to create private channels or direct messages enhances team coordination. Features like custom notifications, status updates, and integrations with project management tools reduce context switching and make remote work more efficient. Slack offers a robust set of features—such as Workflow Builder, Slack AI, and Slack Lists—that make it an incredibly powerful collaboration tool. Its seamless integration with platforms like Salesforce ensures high ease of implementation, allowing teams to connect their workflows effortlessly. One of Slack’s strongest advantages is its ease of use, which has encouraged frequent daily use across departments.
After receiving proper training, my colleagues quickly adopted Slack into their routines, using it to streamline communications, automate tasks, and improve productivity. Additionally, Slack’s responsive and reliable customer support has been instrumental in keeping operations smooth and efficient. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I believe some feature should be enable in every plan Such as
1. Ability to reset single user password in every slack plan
2. Unavailability of chat-wise history export in Business + and Pro Plans too Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
This application is great! It’s simple to use and makes communication smooth and efficient. Sending messages is fast and reliable, and it’s perfect for keeping colleagues in the loop with the latest company updates and news. It really helps everyone stay connected and informed. Highly recommended for teams that need to stay organized and up to date. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
While Slack is a great communication tool, there are a few things that could be improved. Sometimes, it can feel a bit overwhelming with too many channels and notifications, making it easy to miss important messages. Also, the search function, while useful, isn’t always the most intuitive or accurate. Lastly, the app can be a bit heavy on system resources, especially when running in the background all day. If you want to increase collaboration, this is the tool to do it! At first I thought Slack was quite noisy, which it can be, but they've added so much functionality which I appreciate to help with this so it's more helpful than anything. I love that I can easily mute chats, group them, create channels, add gifs or emojis and more. It's actually been a lifesaver for quick turnaround projects too and reducing meeting times because my schedule is usually packed so we can do slack follow ups or opt for "Slack Standups" on days where the team needs more heads down time. Honestly I sat here thinking and this is hard which is a good thing. I can't think of anything I dislike about slack with all the customization they now offer. Years ago I would have said how noisy but they did a great job to improve that. If there was anything I'd add it'd be more features for the huddle calls but outside of huddles we use it all the time. Slack excels at promoting seamless and efficient communication within teams. Its real-time messaging and channel organization allow for clear and focused discussions for entire projects or specific topics. It makes it a powerful hub for productivity, minimizing the need to switch between platforms. It enhances collaboration and ensures everyone stays aligned, even in remote or hybrid work environments. One challenge with Slack is the potential for information overload. Staying on top of all communications can sometimes feel overwhelming with multiple channels, threads, and notifications. Lastly, managing and organizing older conversations can be difficult, as important messages might get buried in long threads, even with the search functionality. What I like about using Slack is how organized it is when it comes to adding leads. We're in the auto financing business, and when we get prospective clients, we post them on Slack. The great thing is there's a thread option where we can attach documents or add anything needed. You can also mention names, and lastly, you can integrate other tools like HubSpot and more. I can’t really think of anything bad or anything I dislike about Slack because everything I need is already there. I can’t think of anything at the moment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Slack makes team communication easy and efficient. It’s clean, intuitive, and keeps everything—from chats to files—in one place. Channels help organize discussions, and integrations with tools like Google Drive and Zoom save tons of time. Notifications are smart (not spammy), and the search is quick and powerful. One common dislike about Slack is that it can become overwhelming—especially in larger teams or fast-paced workspaces. With so many active channels and notifications, it’s easy to lose track of important messages. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Slack is easy to manage, easy to integrate with other software, and easy to implement.
Any person can use it very easily. There is no need to train a new person about using it.
I really like Slack Software because Slack isn't a headache just like some others. In Slack, there is no chance to make mistakes, everything is in front of my eyes.
I like that we can create channels for every single requirement, in my office there is a channel named Announcement, and it's very easy to get notified.
There is a channel called Daily Tasks, and we use this channel every morning to write our daily tasks. We are going to work on the points below. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
