And most importantly, you can run your online store very quickly, really quickly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Shopify?

Shopify was easy to put together. Before Shopify, I was going live on Facebook to sell my jewelry & depending on writing claims with pen & paper, then invoicing thru PayPal or square. After an easy set up process, I was able is get my large inventory uploaded for my customers to shop anytime. Customer support was just a phone call away & was always helpful. Now I love hearing the cha-ching sound multiple times a day because Shopify also offers marketing emails & my store integrated easily with all social media channel's shops. I get sales & ship every day thanks to Shopify. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Shopify?

Sometimes it takes me a little time to figure out the media I want to change out. But that's just my learning curve. Shopify is awesome. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Shopify solving and how is that benefiting you?

Shopify helps me keep track of my inventory & helps me sell in person, on Facebook, Instagram, Pintrest, my Tapcart app & Tictok shop with ease. All these sales channels are all connected to my Shopify so I never have to worry about overselling anything. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Shopify?

I have over a decade of experience with the Shopify platform, managing projects of different size and complexity from all over the globe. I think Shopify is an excellent option for those who are new to e-commerce as it has a simple interface, fast registration and launch, adaptive design, a bunch of features, and 24/7 customer support. It is created in such a way that every merchant can create their own store and start selling products or services in a matter of days. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Shopify?

It's important to consider the cost of third-party apps. On the one hand, you have a huge choice in terms of adding functionality to your store as well as in terms of integrating it with other tools and platforms. On the other hand, if Shopify’s native feature set doesn’t fulfill your requirements, then you’ll be charged every month for almost every extra app installed on your store. As a result, the more features you want to add, the more it will cost you. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Shopify solving and how is that benefiting you?

Shopify is a platform that is easy to be migrated to. If you already run a store on another platform, migrating to Shopify might be a good option. However, first of all, it is necessary to adequately assess all the risks, weigh the pros and cons, and only then make a final decision. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Shopify?

The best part about using Shopify is that I don't have to rely on the software developers to make changes to my website. Most changes can be implemented easily with little research and videos from Shopify. It's super easy to use even for a non-technical person like me. its easy to integrate payment gateways using Shopify Payments. I am a small business owner, so I use it frequently Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Shopify?

The monthly cost adds up for the new business. limited customization and reliance on third-party apps, which are generally paid monthly. There are additional transaction fees on top of credit card processing fees. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Shopify solving and how is that benefiting you?

After migrating from WordPress to Shopify, my website traffic has gone up. I have started to make sales, which isn't that significant, but it has improved a lot.

The Shopify dashboard is quite intuitive for first-time users. The traffic breakdown and other reports help me set up campaigns to target the right audience for my product Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Shopify?

The features and built-in functions are just so comprehensive and helpful to me and others like me who just start out as an entrepreneur. They offer a variety of functions and services from point of sale, shipping, website design, order management and payment processing etc.

It makes building a store so easy that ANYONE can start a business nowadays. Their 24/7 customer support and Shopify partners in the community are also some of the best in the industry, been very informative and helpful to me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Shopify?

I'm not a big fan of their fee structures. Aside from order processing fees which can be up to 4%, there are other fees like built-in apps and themes you need to pay to access features you need Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Shopify solving and how is that benefiting you?

They streamline the process of building an online ecommerce store and manage orders and fulfillment in one website/app. I use it every single day to manage my orders, payments, store customization, sales, shipping and fulfillment etc. Without it, I could not start my own business and make sales Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Shopify?

When I started my online store a couple of years ago, Shopify had an open location in Los Angeles, Ca and New York, NY. When I visited in person I was able to access a lot of information with informed staff who helped me understand what I needed. So available tech support is very important when just starting out and Shopify offers that. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Shopify?

I did have to try out a couple of different website templates to find one that I like. But I've finally found one I like and that I find easy to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Shopify solving and how is that benefiting you?

It is an easy to use with options of apps to add on that make it easy to set up and operate an online store. Once I set up my products, it is easy to encourage people to check it out, buy products and have it delivered to the customer. I didn't want to have physical products that I would need to buy in advance, store, move and ship to customers. Most of the hard physical labor is done through my print on demand partner Printful. I'm happy with Shopify. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Shopify?

Ease of use, integrates with everything, and has a huge community. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Shopify?

First and foremost, read the Terms and Conditions for this service before signing up! The Terms state that all intellectual property that you put on "your" website can be accessed and kept by Shopify and used or passed on to other companies however they choose, for all time. Your marketing materials; product, sales, and inventory data; and theoretically customer data are all irrevocably licensed to numerous unknowable third-parties for all time.

To add insult to injury, Small Business plans are restricted from accessing order and customer data that was entered on their site, by their customers, and is vital to many integrations and business operations. While this is ostensibly for "security" reasons, I fail to understand how it's a security risk to access your own business data. Of course, you can get around this by upgrading your plan to at least the $399 USD/month Advanced Plan and gain this access (because only small businesses are insecure apparently).

The "Basic" and "Shopify" plans further restrict you to using Shopify Payments, with no ability to utilize existing merchant accounts. Which, of course, would incentivize you to also use their POS platform (at which point your in-person customer and sales data is also permanently transferred to Shopify and inaccessible to you).

While you can utilize your own shipping services, these plans show Shopify Shipping rates to customers at checkout, which are marked up from standard, widely available commercial discounts.

For example, a USPS postage stamp, which costs $0.69 USD via numerous other providers, costs $1.40 to buy from Shopify. Of course, if you upgrade your account they will reduce their markup on shipping fees as a perk and to further deter you from using more convenient and flexible third-party services. What problems is Shopify solving and how is that benefiting you?

It was my initial pick for growing my e-commerce business and simplifying my multichannel product and order management.

Upon encountering numerous paywalls and then discovering that they were stealing my data, I migrated to a different platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Shopify?

Brilliant. Exactly what I need to start and run a relatively successful ecommerce store. By using the Shopify App Store I really expanded the sites features as well.

Ease of use & UI. The amount of features it has is also crazy good, can easily manage an entire ecommerce business just using Shopify. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Shopify?

Customising the themes without loads of coding knowledge can sometimes be a headache.

I like least that they don't have a customer service number anymore Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Shopify solving and how is that benefiting you?

Overall I still have to say that Shopify is an amazing tool for entrepreneurs who want to reach a broader audience. It is simple to set up and the admin view shows everything you need at one quick view. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It can become very costly

The more you scale, the more you might find limitations within Shopify (but there are not a lot of bsuiness or use-cases that will hit this limit) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Easy to use and to get started, especially if you do not have technical expertise or a dev team.
