What do you like best about Recurly?

The 'Account Updater' function is awesome. Recurly automatically updates many expired credit cards - saving our billing group lots of time.

Products is solid and delivers on its intended use. Uptime is very good. No noted bugs.

Recurly has been adding features to make it more flexible. In particular the way it handles refunds has been greatly improved.

Support is good. Reps are usually available via chat and have always been able to help us out. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Recurly?

-The reporting is weak. There is no way to generate a report that shows transaction along with the accounts User Name or Company name. So, if a customer uses an email address when signing up, you can only generate reports with this email address as the identifier. This drives us crazy, as there no way to tie the line item on the report to an account record in our financial ledger or CRM system unless we manually look up each email address. How hard would it be to add a column in the Recurly report with either the Company Name or User Name? Seriously?

-The presentation of account credits are very confusing. Its tough to tell if a credit has been used or not.

-Service is expensive vs. competitors. Be sure to price check before making a decision.

What do you like best about Recurly?

1) product management - it is easy to manage and customize subscriptions

2) integrations: webhooks for all events, as well as out-of-the-box solutions for zendesk / tax services like avalara

3) gateway flexibility and ready-made support - recurly already has great support for many popular payment gateways

4) dunning management

What do you dislike about Recurly?

Webhooks are still transactions/adjustments centered. Mobile app subscription services like revenuecat give a lot of prominence to subscription status changes for events/webhooks: like in trial / regular / canceled / expired - to achieve similar data from curly you will still ber required some tinkering Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Recurly?

Recurly is a relatively stable platform and as a billing management tool that’s crucial. It rarely experiences major issues or complete breakdowns, which gives us confidence that our subscription billing will run smoothly without unexpected disruptions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Recurly?

Recurly's support team is responsive, which is great. However, the consistency in their answers can be hit-or-miss. You could be ssking the same question to different reps and get completely different responses. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Recurly solving and how is that benefiting you?

We use Recurly to manage our subscription billing and customer subscriptions. It also has a solid dunning management system that helps with failed payments. What do you like best about Recurly?

- The systems sends reminders to the customers (2-3 weeks in advance) who are on Annual or Monthly Subscription for renewals.

- There are multiple payment gateways that can be integrated for global clients

- Customers sometime complain that they have limited visibility, which can be improved

Recurly has smoothen the process of our subscription based business, with this tool we do need to send reminders or offers manually. This tool automates the entire process and make it easy for our sales team as well as for our customers. With multiple payment options it becomes very easy to engage with our global customer base. What do you like best about Recurly?

Customer and billing information is easy to search through and locate. The steps to process refunds or provide invoices to customers are available in only a couple clicks. Allows us to support our customers quickly and efficiently! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Has trouble integrating with our CMS at times. We have to work them like they are 2 different systems. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recurly creates invoices and then processes billing for our user's subscriptions on their renewal dates. When a sub is cancelled, Recurly stops the billing process. Recruly also communicates with our CMS (in most cases) when payment has not been collected and stops the sub access automatically. Recurly also continues to try to recover past due payments. What do you like best about Recurly?

Recur provides a suite of services that are relevant and helpful to many businesses. This is great for large corporations that have marketing and sales departments.
