What do you like best about OpenToonz?
I love Opentoonz. When I first downloaded it (for free), I didn't understand it much, but once I spent a little time in it, I got a hang of the animations. If you're struggling to understand, the program, there are a lot of helpful tutorials out there. It is a great program to learn basic animations on. I really recommend this for 2d animations. I was able to import art from procreate into opentoonz and continue animation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What do you dislike about OpenToonz?
Not a very self explanatory software. I had to look up some help, but it worked out in the end (youtube tutorials). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about OpenToonz?
This is a free open-source 2D animation software "developed" by Studio Ghibli. It's incredibly powerful and it's free! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The interface could be a little more aesthetically pleasing. It basically looks like an old Windows application. There's also a steep learning curve with very little sources for learning. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about OpenToonz?
I like that this program is free and very powerful. I enjoy the layer options and the fact that I draw each frame by hand. There's a lot you can do with this program. I mainly use it to practice animation techniques. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What do you dislike about OpenToonz?
There is a really really heavy learning curve with this program. I advise watching a lot of tutorials before really diving into this program. A lot of options like lowering the opacity and onion skinning are hidden. You've really gotta search for these I feel. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
