This tool has changed the way I do multiple choice questions. Students are excited to review multiple choice questions, and they can compete individually or on teams. There are other survey and jumble options which are also great tools. I use this tool in the classroom, as checks for understanding and homework checks, and at conferences to keep my audience alert and engaged. My students are very motivated by competition, and this tool helps them to be competitive in reviewing with multiple choice questions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The only thing I wish were not there is the character limit on the multiple choice responses. Sometimes I need to have longer responses for translations, and that limit prevents me from giving full answers. I used to dislike that I could not copy and paste from word, but that has been fixed. It would also be great to have a short answer option where all the answers appeared on the screen. It would also be great to have a more open ended survey option. There are also times where more than four answers may be appropriate for an answer, and that option would be helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Turn learning into a game!
Healthy competition with real-time rankings motivates even the most distracted.
Ideal for breaking the ice in classes, training sessions, or even boring meetings.
Moreover, it's so versatile that you can not only use it to learn, but also to create fun trivia with your friends. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Limits in the free version:
Only allows 10 players per game (in free plans). For classrooms or large groups, it requires payment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Easy to put up Q/A for a zoom call with the team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
No customer service, hostage renewal processes and and refusal to "make right" when renewal charges disputed.
There is no service line. Your renewal charge may or may not be visible in your account dashboard. They will gladly "cancel" your service once disputed but will not refund a charge. I paid $240 to use this service 1x. I asked to have my renewal charge refunded when the paid features were NOT available to me after renewal. They refused and "cancelled" my account. Writing this review and hopefully saving others from this experience is my only recourse. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I love the way Kahoot opens up the interactivity of online meetings and learnings. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I never got to use my subscription. I decided against it. But I was outside of the 14-day period. So I'm charged for the full year. No option for cancellation. Not even at a prorated rate. After explaining the situation, still nothing. Rules are rules, I guess. But it feels a bit like a money grab and just generally like an unfair practice. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The best feature for me is the quiz game. It activates the learners competitive spirit and fast response. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
For the platform itself, I would say there is none. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Kahoot has a great interface for users- it's really easy to use and beginner-friendly. I have actively used it in classes both as a participant as well as an implementer. Kahoot is also great at advertising educational quizzes, and the best part is that its free! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
While it's great at teaching topics, there are only so many questions that one can practice and it feels limited and restricted Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I love that my students love it so much! I love that they are able to practice their skills and their vocabulary for Spanish in a fun and easy way. They enjoy the friendly competition among their peers as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I do not like that after a while you will have to pay for a subscription to Kahoot! I also don't like that there aren't other game formats available. I do not like that the students are able to grab pre made questions from the internet like I am Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It is easy to use, it makes it easy for me to break the ice at the beginning of meetings or a workshop, also to check if the topics that are being developed are being understood Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Initially the free version had multiple options, then they changed and the free version is practically no longer useful, so it necessarily forces you to pay a cost to use it, and it is not one of the cheapest options, there are other similar ones that offer more in their free version advantages, that is why today I practically do not use it Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It's very easy to use, meaning it's intuitive, the UI/UX is great and overall, it creates a great atmosphere whenever I present using Kahoot's quiz option, also it's very interactive Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There is nothing in particular that I dislike; it gets the job done for me and it always creates a fun environment, the only thing I would say is that sometimes when the players are logged in and waiting for the game to start, it would crash out and not let them play the game Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I love having the possibility to create fun activities for my students in a simple way. Additionally, it offers a thousand possibilities to gamify the activities so they see it as an entertaining challenge rather than an academic activity. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Some of my students feel a little overwhelmed by Kahoot!, among other things due to the time limit, the music, etc. I would also like it to offer the possibility of integrating it with the WordPress ecosystem in some way. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
