The ease of recording...the integration with Zoom means all calls with clients/prospects are automatically recorded with no extra effort. I've never had to look up how to use the product, it's all very user friendly and simple. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Transcription isn't that great, but I don't use it much so it doesn't bother me. Can't add much more because I really like the product for what I use it for. Perhaps we aren't making the most of all features provided? Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Gong has been an essential part of my workflow as a Business Development Representative. I primarily use it to review Discovery meetings that my Sales Executives lead, helping me gather detailed notes, AI-generated insights, and action items. It makes it easy to go back, catch anything I missed live, and prepare stronger follow-up. In previous roles, I've also used Gong to listen to peer calls, which was incredibly helpful for coaching and sharpening my talk track. Gong makes learning, preparation, and ongoing improvement so much easier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I haven’t had any negative experiences with Gong so far. My use has been somewhat limited to reviewing meetings and training, but in those areas, it has been consistently reliable, intuitive, and valuable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Being able to score calls among peers or have feedback given is such a helpful way to level up and this is done so easily in Gong. The UI is easy enough follow and the searching is fluid. It integrate easily to our tools and has been a very complete call library. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes it does take awhile for calls to show up in Gong. I assume this is due to the thoroughness of the analyzations but still, if this process was sped up it would be a bit more helpful. At times it also appears to lag a bit. Sometimes slow to launch or load certain parts of the application. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I am an SDR manager and Gong has been a game changer for me. The AI-driven insights are spot on and the summary write-ups are especially useful because they save me time while ensuring I stay on top of our pipeline deals. I also like that I can pick different speakers and listen to them only. This is a great feature because sometimes I want to know only what the prospect said. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
While Gong is a powerful and intuitive tool, I have ethical concerns about the company's affiliations and stance on geopolitical issues, which impact my willingness to continue using it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Using Gong has been a game-changer for my growth.
Being able to rewatch my calls and review them with my manager has helped me sharpen my messaging and spot areas to improve. I also love having searchable transcripts—it makes it easy to update my notes and keep track of deal momentum.
It’s made me more thoughtful, more prepared, and ultimately more effective in my role. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes I forget to tag the call or add a comment right after, and it can be tough to find it later when everything blends together. A bit more structure or reminders would be helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I think one of the best features of Gong is the call overviews that come through after completely client meetings.
Many days I have back to back calls and when I get finished with them it is great to have an organized outline of what I covered in the call so I can take care of my necessary follow up.
I have also seen an increase of clients attending our meetings due to the automated reminders that go out the day of our call.
I use Gong every day in my work flow and it helps keep me organized in a busy work environment.
I wasn't familiar with Gong before I started my current position, but it is quite easy to implement into a daily work plan. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
A newer aspect that hasn't been my favorite is the quantity of reminder emails that go out the day of my meetings. I have been seeing upwards of 4 reminders to each client going out. I hope this is just a bug and I have been able to downplay it with my clients as an AI over reach, but hopefully this is going to be resolved soon. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I love the transcription. we have lots of existing video demo content which we need to either produce equivalent written content for, or share with customers with markers for them to skip to the area relevant for them. The gong transcription, summary and video marker tools make it so fast for us to skip to the right part, remember what's been said in a meeting, or create cropped demo content that can be shared Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I haven't found too many negatives so far. It would be good to be able to upload a video thats been recorded by someone else (e.g chris) and have the transcription notes say "chris said" rather than Holly said, since I (Holly) uploaded it for transcription. this is minor though Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I love conversational AI. My favorite aspect of Gong is being able to go into any account and ask what is going on. By asking what the customer said they needed, I can prepare for any meeting, from kickoff to renewal. This is incredibly simple to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I wish they were a little more responsive to customer requests. They say a feature is coming in a certain quarter and then it doesn't. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Conversation Intelligence allows sellers to focus on the meeting and not notetaking. The data that can be gathered and analyzed after the call inside of Gong is priceless. Helps sellers follow up better. Front line managers can easily see who's performing well and be notified without having to sit through entire meetings. Saves a ton of time. It also integrates easily and well with our CRM. The integration was crucial to us getting the most out of the investment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The way the packages are sold leaves a lot to be desired. I wish it was more al la carte. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I attend a LOT of customer meetings in support of a sales team as well as a product team, often with weeks or months in between. It's impossible to keep track of/remember everything discussed when it happened. Knowing that I have Gong running in the background of these meetings, I can confidently put my pen and notepad away, knowing that it will take more thorough notes during the meeting than I ever will and they are easily searchable. This is probably more of a gripe about how disorganized our own instance of Salesforce is, but sometimes it is very hard to pin down the exact accounts/contacts that I am looking for prior meetings on. Gong relies heavily on it's integration with SFDC, so Gong's hygiene is only as good as your SFDC hygiene, which can be a challenge. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Having the ability now to watch real sales conversations rather than getting second hand information from a sales rep on what a prospect has said has been an absolute game changer for me and my marketing team. We can now get first hand insights into the language prospects use and context around their specific use cases for our product, giving us a better ability to translate this insight into messaging and marketing strategies that resonate with our ICP. I've sometimes found it difficult to search for and find specific calls some of our sales team have spoken about. Or to pick out sales calls versus client calls - However, that might be an issue with how we are using it or tagging up calls. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
