What do you like best about Gong?

Gong has been an essential part of my workflow as a Business Development Representative. I primarily use it to review Discovery meetings that my Sales Executives lead, helping me gather detailed notes, AI-generated insights, and action items. It makes it easy to go back, catch anything I missed live, and prepare stronger follow-up. In previous roles, I've also used Gong to listen to peer calls, which was incredibly helpful for coaching and sharpening my talk track. Gong makes learning, preparation, and ongoing improvement so much easier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Gong?

I haven’t had any negative experiences with Gong so far. My use has been somewhat limited to reviewing meetings and training, but in those areas, it has been consistently reliable, intuitive, and valuable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Gong solving and how is that benefiting you?

Gong helps me easily capture key details from Discovery meetings, so nothing gets missed. It also helps me sharpen my skills by reviewing calls and learning what works. It saves time, improves follow-up, and makes me a stronger, more effective BDR. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Gong?

Being able to score calls among peers or have feedback given is such a helpful way to level up and this is done so easily in Gong. The UI is easy enough follow and the searching is fluid. It integrate easily to our tools and has been a very complete call library. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Gong?

Sometimes it does take awhile for calls to show up in Gong. I assume this is due to the thoroughness of the analyzations but still, if this process was sped up it would be a bit more helpful. At times it also appears to lag a bit. Sometimes slow to launch or load certain parts of the application. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Gong solving and how is that benefiting you?

Gong is helping our sales reps level up our conversations by identifying all aspects of a call and evaluating what is working. We can also very easily leave helpful feedback and share alternative conversation ideas so we can all learn together. Gong also helps to provide an accurate transcript of our calls which allows us to follow up with our customers using the most important points. The AI analysis of this is quite impressive. A final benefit would be having a near perfect library of calls and demonstrations going back years we can always reference when needed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Gong?

I am an SDR manager and Gong has been a game changer for me. The AI-driven insights are spot on and the summary write-ups are especially useful because they save me time while ensuring I stay on top of our pipeline deals. I also like that I can pick different speakers and listen to them only. This is a great feature because sometimes I want to know only what the prospect said. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Gong?

While Gong is a powerful and intuitive tool, I have ethical concerns about the company's affiliations and stance on geopolitical issues, which impact my willingness to continue using it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Gong solving and how is that benefiting you?

Super intuitive and smart platform. I can easily give feedback to my team and it helps them improve their approach and I get clear, actionable data to coach effectively.

I also don't have the time to watch 10-15 meeting records per week, which is why I like the AI-summary I receive after a call. Usually that gives me a good idea, on what was said in the call. If something is unclear or I am managing a new joiner, I'll go to the recording. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Gong?

Using Gong has been a game-changer for my growth.

Being able to rewatch my calls and review them with my manager has helped me sharpen my messaging and spot areas to improve. I also love having searchable transcripts—it makes it easy to update my notes and keep track of deal momentum.

It’s made me more thoughtful, more prepared, and ultimately more effective in my role. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Gong?

Sometimes I forget to tag the call or add a comment right after, and it can be tough to find it later when everything blends together. A bit more structure or reminders would be helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Gong solving and how is that benefiting you?

Gong helps me see exactly where I can improve.

By reviewing my calls, I can catch things I missed in real time—whether it's how I handled an objection, delivered value, or set next steps. It also makes coaching with my manager way more productive because we’re looking at real moments, not just relying on memory.

The transcripts and call summaries also help me update my CRM faster and keep deals on track without having to re-listen to everything.

Overall, it’s helped me become more intentional, confident, and consistent in my outreach. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Gong?

I think one of the best features of Gong is the call overviews that come through after completely client meetings.

Many days I have back to back calls and when I get finished with them it is great to have an organized outline of what I covered in the call so I can take care of my necessary follow up.

I have also seen an increase of clients attending our meetings due to the automated reminders that go out the day of our call.

I use Gong every day in my work flow and it helps keep me organized in a busy work environment.

I wasn't familiar with Gong before I started my current position, but it is quite easy to implement into a daily work plan. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Gong?

A newer aspect that hasn't been my favorite is the quantity of reminder emails that go out the day of my meetings. I have been seeing upwards of 4 reminders to each client going out. I hope this is just a bug and I have been able to downplay it with my clients as an AI over reach, but hopefully this is going to be resolved soon. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Gong solving and how is that benefiting you?

Keeping me organized without having to take copious notes during every call, this enables me to really focus on what the clients are saying and allows me to have an organized train of thought when I send out my follow ups. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Gong?

I love the transcription. we have lots of existing video demo content which we need to either produce equivalent written content for, or share with customers with markers for them to skip to the area relevant for them. The gong transcription, summary and video marker tools make it so fast for us to skip to the right part, remember what's been said in a meeting, or create cropped demo content that can be shared Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Gong?

I haven't found too many negatives so far. It would be good to be able to upload a video thats been recorded by someone else (e.g chris) and have the transcription notes say "chris said" rather than Holly said, since I (Holly) uploaded it for transcription. this is minor though Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Gong solving and how is that benefiting you?

- taking meeting notes for me, meaning i can focus fully on what customers are telling me, without writing or typing.

- creating videos with markers to skip to the most relevant part of the conversation

- Transcription. Sometimes I copy and paste the meeting transcript into our internal company AI assistant, and ask it to convert the transcript into text for slides, brief descriptions, email content etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Gong?

I love conversational AI. My favorite aspect of Gong is being able to go into any account and ask what is going on. By asking what the customer said they needed, I can prepare for any meeting, from kickoff to renewal. This is incredibly simple to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Gong?

I wish they were a little more responsive to customer requests. They say a feature is coming in a certain quarter and then it doesn't. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Gong solving and how is that benefiting you?

Gong is helping us solve some of the handoff issues we were having between sales and onboarding. It has even benefited the training team because we can ask where customers are getting stuck and Gong pulls that information out of our meetings for us, no one has to take those notes or remember, we can see the exact customer conversations. What do you like best about Gong?

Conversation Intelligence allows sellers to focus on the meeting and not notetaking. The data that can be gathered and analyzed after the call inside of Gong is priceless. Helps sellers follow up better. Front line managers can easily see who's performing well and be notified without having to sit through entire meetings. Saves a ton of time. It also integrates easily and well with our CRM. The integration was crucial to us getting the most out of the investment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Gong?

The way the packages are sold leaves a lot to be desired. I wish it was more al la carte. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Gong solving and how is that benefiting you?

Leadership needed clearer visibility into how prospecting meetings went without relying on the sellers meeting notes and interpretation of what happened. Gong's Conversation Intelligence allows us to quickly see unbiased key points that were discussed. It also details the follow up steps discussed saving time and ensuring nothing is missed. What do you like best about Gong?

The seamless integration with email, CRM and slack to start with got me amused with gong, the go live and implementation was easy.

After every meeting I'm a part of irrespective of who drives it, I ensure to go back to gong and review notes and highlights to double check and do my post call communication effectively.

I love how I can use gong on my phone and listen to calls on the go while in transit and keep myself updated with what's happening.

The search engine is decent to look up key words and instances. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Gong?

UI bugs, the search engine isnt very accurate and takes time to show up keywords, at times the key words arent captured properly Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Gong solving and how is that benefiting you?

- Make note of missed engagement information

- During change of hands of accounts, review the past engagement with the client.

- Identify stakeholders to make note of who might've been engaged before. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Gong?

Gong lets me stay focused and engaged in all my meetings by taking all the notes for me. It is extremely beneficial because it allows me to be actively listening to my clients and discover real pain points that they have, leading to business for myself. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Gong?

The only thing I dislike about Gong is that it sometimes can not show up on the meeting, and I just wish I would recieve a notification if the person I am meeting with has declined the Gong recording so that I can prepare otherwise for the meeting (notebook pen etc). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Gong solving and how is that benefiting you?

Gong is recording my meeting and taking notes for me so that I can be acitively engaged in my conversation. This is benefiting me because I can actually listen to the person, instead of taking notes and trying to multitask. I also do not forget anything because I can go back to the recording. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
