If I didn't have Formstack we'd either have to contract with a freelance developer to build forms, or I'd have to learn to do it myself. Either one of these options would take away a huge amount of time, and Formstack completely solves this problem. It's incredibly versatile and there are very few limits to what you can do with it using conditional logic. Integrations are incredibly simple, and it's Level 1 PCI/HIPAA Compliant, which is huge. It's pretty expensive to add additional users. There's a Google Analytics integration that you have to pay a significant amount extra for; it's part of a larger add-on package that has some useful features but that you shouldn't have to buy as a bundle. There are a significant number of add-ons that used to be free features but now cost extra, which I'm really not a fan of.
I wish it were possible to copy and paste logic from one individual question to another. You can apply logic to an entire section easily, but within that section, if you want some but not all questions to follow a certain logic, you have to re-create that logic step-by-step for each individual question. A "Get Logic From ..." function would be a huge time-saver. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I use Formstack Forms at least weekly, and often multiple times per week. I love that we can add as much logic as needed to each form. My company has some really long, complex forms, and it's great that I can hide sections and fields as needed to prevent team members from having to put "N/A" as a response hundreds of times. The email automation is a big plus - it is easy to update settings to include the submitters manager/director on the submissions. This prevents the admin support team from having to manually forward responses to the appropriate manager. Form permissions are also great. It is nice that we have the flexibility to choose which folders our admins have access to. This allows admins throughout the company to edit their forms as needed which still protecting sensitive information provided on responses to HR, security, and accounting forms. When building forms in Formstack, I wish that the build panel was bigger. Sometimes it can be hard to see what items exist when the build panel is so small. When building a form, I think it would be more valuable to see more of the build panel (like logic, field name, drop-down options, etc.) than more of the form preview which currently takes up most of the screen.
I wish that there were more safeguards in place for errors that may occur when a field is deleted from a form. For example, we have an HR form that sends submission info via email if a certain item from a drop-down box is selected. The item was renamed last year, and the item name was not automatically updated in email settings. This resulted in several submissions being missed as no notification was sent. Integration options. One drive, drop box, zapier, web plugins, all of this is what we use on daily basis with Formstack, very easy to implement changes without stopping services.
Support is great. Not the we needed a lot but at one instance we had it was very smooth interaction and good experience.
We use formstack across business every day if not to create form there is always someone submitting something.
Very easy to navigate even for a beginner. We integrate a lot of forms our internal websites. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Can't really think of any. Will get back to you if I ever find something I dislike. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like how simple it is to review multiple forms and data from them on the portal. I really enjoy how easy it is to see simple analytics based on how the form was either submitted or left blank.
I really enjoy the analytics as it is a great way to report to our clients how much interaction the website is getting.l Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Late last year an update was pushed out that made the embedding of forms unstable.
Overnight it seemed that dozens of our forms embedded on websites broke when viewed on mobile or smaller screens. It looks like the form has a forced width on every viewing size. Before I enjoyed how dynamic the forms performed, now we must use a workaround to make it work.
Lastly, when we tried to add UTM parameters into a hidden field it was erased once someone filled out a form. I am pretty disappointed with how we can no longer use this feature. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Formstack forms has empowered our business to be able to consolidate a lot of our paper forms and legacy processes to a streamlined, efficient platform that we use every day. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There are times when working with logic can get confusing - specifically, when you are working with forms, documents, data routing, workflows, etc. You can have layered logic on top of layered logic that can make it a nightmare for someone who wasn't involved with a form's creation to troubleshoot. When creating large and big forms, I find it a little bit slow and unresponsive on some steps of form filling. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
My org was using several form-building tools and wanted to consolidate them into one. After extensive research and conversations with multiple vendors, we decided to go with Formstack and it's been a pleasure ever since. We use Formstack every day and its ease of use is a game-changer. Add to that the truly stellar interactions with their team and customer support when we need it. It also integrates with Salesforce! I love how easy it is to use the system, it's super user friendly and not complicated to figure out! We use Formstack for every form (which is a lot) in our office and I am constantly in the system pulling data and information. There are lot's of options for question types and data, which I love! I truly don't think there are a lot of downsides to using Formstack Forms. We use Forms all the time and rarely have issues! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
With non-HIPAA accounts, Formstack provides diverse offerings to companies looking to consolidate their forms. It is a great tool to use if you manage a team or house of brands. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The HIPAA accounts have very little to no value regarding organizational tools for their users. Other HIPAA compliant platforms have basic abilities such as being able to sort submissions, base searchability, and scheduling submission exports for certain periods of time. Without these very basic tools, it's impossible for a team to sort through and manage submissions. After multiple discussions with our Formstack team and no intended updates coming soon to help HIPPAA accounts, we are currently searching for alternative platforms that house better offerings. they work and are reliable, I could make the forms I needed to collect date from clients that want to apply for insurance. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
not intuitive,
the option to save fields and reuse them are not practical and are confusing,
the dashboard seems a bit old school and again, not intuitive,
I cannot use Formstack Sign within a Form (like why?)
I Cannot set up the dates the way I want (ex.: I need some fields with year only;
the part for address (And others too) specifically the field for postal code always makes my customers confused once it all reds out when you start filling it out - gives a terrible feeling and the impression customer is doing sth wrong (but they barely started to fill it out)
option to upload documents should be more practical than adding it several times - make an option that simply says "add more documents" if the client needs to upload more than one doc
the encryption thing does not let us collect data such as incomplete forms (please solve it)
option to save the form should constantly be showing on the form, not only at the end - so people understand they can save that Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I've been using Formstack Forms for some time, and it has truly transformed how our team collects and manages data. The platform is incredibly user-friendly and offers a wide variety of customization options that make it easy to create professional and effective forms. The integrations with other platforms save us time and streamline our workflows, and the conditional logic feature ensures we’re only gathering the information we need. Customer support has been responsive and helpful whenever I’ve had questions. Formstack Forms is a powerful tool that has increased our efficiency and improved our data management processes immensely. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a reliable, flexible, and well-supported form-building solution! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Advanced features often require higher-tier plans, which can be a drawback. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
