I like Cleverbridge's cart-customization ability. Unlike other platforms, whose cart pages layout are always the same, Cleverbridge can create cart layout according to your own design, or even better, they can recommend one layout for you according to your idea. I also like their attitude to the clients. For example, we get Quarterly Review every 3 months with our account manager, and I can always get some new ideas from it. Also, I like the MVT campaign feature, which makes the split tests between layouts and prices much easier. The last thing I would like to mention is that their customer support team are very good. Cleverbridge is so easy and intuitive to use. Setting up products and creating direct shopping cart links is a simple process, making it easy to manage and update products without the need for a lot of technical knowledge.

One thing that’s the downsides of Cleverbridge is that there’s no way to send shopping cart links for renewal subscriptions. This makes the renewal process a bit problematic, especially since all purchases are counted as new, even if the customer has already bought the same product before.
Something that also can be improved is how the renewal rate is tracked. Currently it is on subscription level instead of the account level, which makes it harder to get a full picture of customer retention. Implementation of checkout / self-service pages is somewhat awkward and slow. As a customer we don't have full control of the checkout process and its appearance. Most of the changes - even cosmetic ones - need to be implemented by Cleverbridge staff, which sometimes takes weeks. While we can manage most aspects of our products, pricing, and license delivery, some properties still need to be implemented and hardcoded in by CB staff, which seems odd as we would be able to modify that staff much more promply ourselves, given the right tools, and free up CB staff from additional overhead.
