Pricing can get expensive and workflow debugging can be tricky Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It is so easy to use and set up! As a developer, I don't want to spend time setting up complex build configurations in systems that I barely understand. It usually takes a huge amount of time and loads of frustration. With Bitrise, this was not the case. It was so easy to set up and I had it running perfectly in no time. It is super easy to add or change the build steps also. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I found it a little bit confusing to understand the pricing between accounts. I have a user account, with its own plan, that belongs to a company account, with its own plan. I have to really think about what I will be charged and on what plans the builds are registered to. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Easy to configure and deploy. It has all the build-in component to set-up quickly an environment for our CI/CD process. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Nothing significant at this time. The pricing/subscription could be more explicit and clear. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I really like how easy Bitrise makes it to build apps for Android and IOS. The logs of the build process are easy to understand, and it integrates well with other parts of our workflows. I use it a lot to build complex changes to see anything has broken, and to get the app into people's hands for testing. I definitely recommend them to others. The cost of the starter pack ain't cheap, haha! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like how easy it is to setup CI/CD workflows such as app distribution to Firebase and receiving updates in Slack. Following the UI is easy to add new workflows, change or duplicate existing workflows. I hate having to waste time setting up complex things in a CI/CD platform instead of spending time on my tasks but with Bitrise it's UI is intuitive and easy to follow. Bitrise service has been reliable, I have never seen it go down in 3 years I've been using it. It also shows warnings for any upcoming breaking changes well in advance and its easy to address these things by following the UI prompts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
When a build fails the errors are still at the bottom of a long log, Bitrise could improve this by making the UI more friendly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The best thing is that you have the option to choose how you want to work with Bitrise, manage your own runner instances and connect them to the platform or just forget about the infrascture setup and let Bitrise do all the heavy lifting.
When it comes to user experience, UI and ease of use, I have to say, it's definitely by far the best tool you can pick for your CI/CD workflow. You can get up-and-running in a matter of minutes and just play around with the workflows. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
After using it for a couple of years now, the only thing that comes to mind is not having a history of changes for your workflows (if using the hosted yml file) option. Sure, you can always add the configuration file to your own repo, but in that case it can be a bit tiresome to update workflows, copy/paste the configuration into your yml file and pushing the changes. BitRise has helped us to automate builds and releases for cross-platform Flutter applications. No more drawn-out processes and manual builds. BitRise helps us save time so we can continue developing our applications and reduce context-switching. Pipelines are easy to setup and configure, and Customer Support has always been excellent! It would be neat if BitRise included a history of workflow configuration changes so it could easily be rolled back in the Workflow Editor. We generally get around this by storing the configuration yaml file in our git repository, but if strictly using the Workflow Editor, this would be a neat feature to add. The wizard for adding new projects with pre-configured options and easy integration with our other dev tools Github, Slack & Jira made it easy to get up and running and take Bitrise for a trial run. Once setup the insights provide easy reporting to management and any issues we encountered we found the support team responsive and helpful in identifying and resolving the errors. Adding native support for a history of config changes would be helpful Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I had a chance to use Bitrise many years ago while it was still in beta, but even then it smoked the competition out for its ease of use and powerful capabilities. It was just getting better over time, during which I had a chance to use it on multiple projects across multiple companies, so I'm glad that it became very popular in the industry because it's totally worth it. Keep it on! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Nothing specific comes to mind, most of the time it just works, as it should be the case with CI/CD tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It's friendly interface and flexible machine (stack) options. It makes it super easy to get started! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I think some more features around release orchestration will help the product be a better fit for enterprise use cases Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
