Price - Yellowfin offers serious bang-for-buck
Collaboration - Yellowfin contains collaborative features found in no other BI tool.
User Interface - This easily has to be the best-looking BI tool out there.
We've seen Yellowfin come a long way in the last few years. In this day and age when business decisions are made by teams, it helps that Yellowfin offers a range of really cool ways to annotate, share, and discuss results found in a very visual manner. One feature is a bit like PowerPoint, but with the ability to drill deeper on information on a slide. Another is a 'Facebook' type interface that allows people to comment on a report. Then, of course, you have mans to annotate a report and share it immediately with someone by email.
I also like that you can deploy on premises or in the Cloud (AWS).

What do you dislike about Yellowfin BI?
The one thing I dislike is in the Admin section where you hook up to your data. It could be made to be a bit easier for connecting to the data. While it is a very visual tool, personally, I find it a little bit clunky, but it does produce a nice ER diagram of your data source at the end. To give them credit, they have provided very neat solutions for connecting to data sources like Google Analytics, etc. And they're adding more all the time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Yellowfin BI?
How daunting is it sitting with scattered spreadsheets, endless reports, and data all over the place, not really giving the insight that you want to deliver?
With Yellowfin BI being much more than just another industry tool, it proved to be the most efficient one as it gives so much better structured insight.The freedom to create and sometimes animate visualizations to provide business intelligence and data analytics is impeccable.
With integrated AI features, effortlessly getting real-time analytics as opposed to staring at numbers for hours to compile reports after makes BI developing a little bit easier

What do you like best about Yellowfin BI?
Yellowfin BI has a comprehensive front-end, which makes it user-friendly. The documentation is easy to understand, and the quick link to the Yellowfin Wiki on newer versions make it especially convenient to quickly find out how to do something. It's easy to install, and convenient to use on a daily basis. Yellowfin provides for seamless integration into your application. The many elements on the dashboard builder allow for sleek designs that are not only beautiful, but functional and powerful through features like drilling, brushing, filtering, etc. The built-in code features such as Javascript charts and 'code-mode' on dashboards make it extremely powerful. What do you like best about Yellowfin BI?
Yellow Fin B.I. Tool is the most user friendly tool that can used to generate amble numbers of Reports.
-Not only that we can customize a Dashboard and link them together to see the current visiblity of all aspects of our business.
-It comes with a lot of standard reports and we can also modify / or create new custom reports according to our need.
-We can create filters to find particular information about any key element.
-Multiple tables/views can be linked without having a programmer do a job to connect the tables.
-All the reports can be shared and broadcasted to other users through email without even loggng in or having to open the software.
-The reports can be exported in the Excel , Word, PDF, CSV files etc.

What do you like best about Yellowfin BI?
The best features of Yellowfin are: the amount of available connectors, management through views, and the ability to customize each part of the tool by allowing deep embedding. In addition, it's very easy to use and the creation of dashbord and report is very clear.

NLQs are not entirely natural language-based and do not entirely allow a business user to do research on the data.

What do you like best about Yellowfin BI?
YF is easy to use for a person with average experience with BI tools and has a number of features such as report broadcasting and storyboards that make it especially interesting for users that need to keep close to their data but have limited time to access a laptop - users that are site managers on the field for example. The possibility to embed reports is great as it enriches our web dashboard and allows users to access most of their data directly from our application. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What do you dislike about Yellowfin BI?
Setting up reports is still relatively slow and issues like for example editing formulas in CASE statements should be made more simple and faster.
In truth we need to prepare reports for most of our users as they cannot by themselves use many basic functions like defining custom fields. Excel still makes it easier to apply formulas to values in creating new fields. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Yellowfin BI?
This is a great tool. I love how it can spot patterns in our data that I might have missed. The way you can create stories with your data is very simple. Instead of just throwing charts at people, I can walk them through the numbers and build a real narrative around our data. The Stories feature has been a game-changer for our team discussions. It really helps everyone understand the context behind the numbers. Another fantastic feature is Yellowfin Presents, which lets me create templated presentations that update automatically when our data changes. No more exporting to PowerPoint and manually updating charts every month! I can quickly pull up any dashboard on my phone when I'm in meetings, which has saved me so many times. Plus, sharing dashboards with the team is super easy too. Oh, and being able to white-label everything makes it look like our own custom solution when we share it with clients. What do you dislike about Yellowfin BI?
Like any BI tool, there's a bit of a learning curve at first. The more advanced features take some time to discover and master, especially if you're new to data analytics tools. While the documentation could be more streamlined for finding specific complex answers, the support team more than makes up for it. They've been fantastic at quickly helping me whenever I had questions. What do you like best about Yellowfin BI?
We have several different sources of data and before implementing Yellowfin's BI software, we had to report from each of those sources separately, and then consolidate the data in Excel.
