Solutions that SaaS backup tools typically target include CRMs, office suites, business instant messaging, and email, though these tools could be designed to back up any SaaS application. SaaS backup falls into the larger ecosystem of data backup, recovery, and protection solutions, aimed at preserving business data continuity and preventing any potential data loss. In being part of a larger ecosystem, SaaS backup software must be able to integrate with other data backup, protection, and/or management solutions.
