I like that it is user friendly and well known. When onboarding new employees there is always a sigh of relief when we mention that we use UKG Pro as our HR tool. People are familiar with this product and for us it's easy to implement. I log in everyday to generate reports and look up employee information, the layout makes it super easy to get what I need quickly so that I can get to other tasks. We use UKG Dimensions for timekeeping and the communication between both apps is seamless, as a General Manager I don't have to worry about loading the employee into two different apps, I know that that once I can see my new employee on UKG pro, I just a matter of a few hours I will be able to start timekeeping on Dimensions. I used to dislike the number of times I would have to log in. However, with the new UKG Pro update I can now log in quickly using biometrics. On Desktop, I like the option to not have to use my password for a 24hr period. It just makes life easier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

While UKG Pro is efficient overall, one consistent frustration is the short time limit on the verification code during login. The code often expires before you can retrieve and enter it, especially if you're multitasking or experiencing a delay in receiving it via email or text. This creates unnecessary friction during login and can be particularly frustrating during busy work hours. I like the versatility of UKG Pro and the level of dedicated service that the team provides. I feel 100% supported when using this platform and know that any issues I run into will be resolved quickly. It is also easy to use and intuitive so any issues I can resolve myself. One of the things I like best about UKG Pro is its Pending Pay, Prorated Pay, and Retro Pay features. These tools are extremely helpful in managing complex payroll scenarios with efficiency and accuracy.
The Pending Pay feature allows us to schedule future payments or make one-time adjustments without needing to process them immediately, helping with planning and approvals.
Prorated Pay simplifies compensation for partial pay periods due to new hires, terminations, or salary changes, reducing manual calculations and potential errors.
The Retro Pay functionality is especially useful for correcting prior period adjustments, ensuring employees are paid correctly without needing off-cycle runs.

While UKG Pro offers many valuable features, there are a couple of areas that could be improved:
The Business Intelligence (BI) reporting feature could be more user-friendly. Although it's powerful, the interface and report-building process can be complex and sometimes not intuitive, especially for users who aren't technically inclined.
Payment Services could benefit from updates and streamlining. The current processes can feel outdated and sometimes create delays or require extra steps that could be automated or simplified.

The UKG Community platform can feel a bit overwhelming when trying to locate specific information, especially for new or infrequent users. Additionally, I believe the Leave of Absence module could benefit from more robust reporting features—particularly the ability to clearly identify the specialist handling each leave case, rather than relying solely on case notes for that information.
It would also be incredibly helpful to have a dedicated module for managing ADA accommodation requests. Given the significant increase in these cases since the pandemic, having a structured and centralized space to manage accommodations would improve efficiency and tracking. Their support resources were once great, but have taken a steep decline in quality in the last 4-6 months. Their quality of support (timeliness and knowledgeable staff) was definitely enough to make up for the clunky platform, so now without that it's very difficult to find silver linings. What I like about UKG Pro is the ease of use. I use UKG Pro daily as I am the admin of it for my company. Once you get yourself familiar with the layout and functionality it flows pretty smoothly. The effective dating is nice especially when it comes to payroll. There are times where it can be confusing, but I know it all depends on when the payroll dates fall into place. What I dislike about UKG Pro is that there is limited access to a lot of things within the set up of certain functions. The business rules is a good example. There are times where I have to go in and check on earning codes and the access within the code set up itself is limited. I'm sure it's that way for a reason, but more functionality would be nice. Sometimes the effective dating is confusing as well, but that is nothing really. Another thing that I dislike is the functionality of the retroactive pay. That does not work as intended and it is very annoying. If a wage increase is to be implemented 1/2 way through the pay period, it will cover the entire pay period and not the actual day it started. So simple to use. Even when doing something for the first time everything is in steps, so it is easy to learn and do at the same time.
