Originally TeamRaiser was part of the overall package we purchased through Convio (now part of Blackbaud). We didn't have a specific usage in mind, because we were focused on converting our donor database and building our standard giving forms. We were not an organization that held in-person events like walks or runs. However, we quickly realized that TeamRaiser could be adapted for us to create a peer-to-peer fundraising campaign for virtual teams. We wanted to allow our supporters to create a campaign to support one of our programs, and raise funds. We decided to focus on Christmas fundraising under the campaign theme of "Change Their Story." What I liked most is that TeamRaiser was able to set up the teams and provide a rich user experience for our supporters. The first year we had about 40 supporters create campaigns. Each year that grew, and we were able to continue customizing the look, feel, and functionality of TeamRaiser in its native / out-of-the-box functionality. Most modifications were made by non-technology professionals, and when needed it was easy for our technology partners to adapt TeamRaiser for our needs. It was a complete solution for us as a small organization--and allowed us to create a signature annual campaign that we had up and running in about a month's time. It transformed how we looked at year end fundraising and ended up acquiring many new donors through peer-to-peer networking and fundraising. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
TeamRaiser was described to me as "All of Convio in one module" this was a very true statement. The most challenging aspect was the customization. My primary dislike was the fast logout of the Participant Center. Most of our support calls came from participants who had spent time trying to customize a fundraising letter in the PC, and they were logged out and lost work. This caused us to change the banner of the PC to say, "save your work often." There was no way for us to set the logout period for the PC, and that was a major supporter frustration. That was one of the few things we couldn't customize to our liking. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It has the potential to be highly customizable if you have a web developer who can write custom code. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I have had countless issues with participants navigating the website, registration, and their participant centers. It is so un-user-friendly, that it discourages registrations and donations. It also takes me so long to copy events year after year because of how complicated the site creation process is.
And on top of that, when technical issues occur (Share buttons don't work, mobile compatibility malfunction, etc), 90% of the time, they require you to hire a Blackbaud professional services member to fix it for you.
Please go with another platform for your P2P needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

There are no accessible features for visually impaired users and that there is not a good way to manage volunteers Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The Event Management Center is fairly easy to navigate, reports are usually quick and easy to pull, there are a lot of great capabilities with sending customized, personalized emails, getting notifications of new teams, fundraising milestones, and making easy corrections of donation credit. You can easily switch between different events that you manage and also easily access past events that are no longer active. Being able to also pull reports from past events is very handy when assessing historical data and strategizing for the future. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Little customization at the individual event level for companies that have a very high volume of events. All events are on the same template and don't allow for individualization in almost any aspect. On a prior version of the template my company uses, the WYSIWYG was often buggy which meant that updating or making customizations to a page of your site was difficult. we use this for our provider department at our large non profit organization. great tool to help us keep things organized to process payments for our providers. with money coming in from different sources, the interface makes it easy to redistribute that out as we see necessary. helps us to keep our budget in order. sleek design and ease of use. Participant/ donor reports are relatively easy to pull Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Our volunteers always have issues with the TeamRaiser websites. The customer service is terrible. As an example, on the last day of our donation cycle, all our TeamRaiser pages weren’t working. Turns out that Blackbaud was doing routine maintenance, but they didn’t notify us first! This probably translates to thousands of missed dollars for us. I had so many donors and volunteers call me that day to say they couldn’t donate. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
They helped us create some very nice websites Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Customer support is lacking - they often don't know how to fix the problems we have. If you want anything more than the basics, they'll charge you for every "customization". Many of the features don't line up well with our organization. They don't answer the "ideas" portal, but want you to continue to add ideas. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I love that I can manage multiple events in one account. I use this site as a manager and as a participant and it is fairly easy to use after some practice. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I hate that the website isn't totally compatible with certain web browsers. Some of the features as a participant are not as intuitive as they used to be. There have been changes in the website that have been hard to adjust to. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
This is a great platform for our teams to use when having events that aren’t staffed by the nonprofit. Often times teams want to have a website for a fundraising event but we aren’t able to provide that through our event website. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It is completely set up and ran by the team, which means I can’t see the back end to help them when they need it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Easy to update sites using 'what you see is what you get' Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The systems times you out- it'd be nice to be logged in and remain logged in. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I love that teams are able to use this platform to fundraiser at events that aren’t directly supported by the nonprofit. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
