
The software is very user friendly and the customer support has generally been excellent. There are always issues with every implementation, but I think the most important is making sure you have a proposal management and proposal content storage strategy in place when deciding on a proposal management software, so you choose the software that will fit the needs of your organisation. It sounds simple but can be a tricky process. For example, are you issuing out short proposals via a sales team every week or complex, large scale proposals via a dedicated bid team? How you write the proposal, the solution, pricing, store and reuse content etc. will all be affected by the nature of your proposal process and the software must complement this process.
There are the usual quirks in MS Word that have to be resolved, however the knowledge source works well for managing content storage, retrieval, suggestion and provides an efficient review process. Project point delivers the proposal production workflow and this allows for you to set up tailored document templates, task allocation, workflow management and content searches directly from the knowledge source. The hability to customize QorusDocs to match our CRM system is very helpful. I also like the time we save when setting up an opportunity. The fact that it's backend is based on O365 makes it so much more pliable with an organization that has O365 as its ubiquitous day-to-day system. One of the more difficult aspects has been the need to deal with our internal IT to grant things like permissions for the approvals system that uses PowerAutomate. But I consider this a minor hurdle in the grand scheme of things, far outweighed by the flexibility of the platform, and is also more an issue with the complexity of our internal IT. It saves my team so much time when responding to bids because creating pursuits happen faster, the search retrieval process is accurate, customization happens automatically, and task management is no longer manual. I LOVED the well-laid out implementation and training process my team had with Qorus and the continued customer support we get. With SharePoint as the backbone and its availability in all MS applications, Qorus fits into our daily lives so perfectly and seamlessly allowing us to use it all the time.
