What do you like best about Nutshell?

Nutshell provides you with a fairly simple interface that even the most computer illiterate person can figure out.

If you need to track leads, keep a steady contact list, or even pull a graph of your highest selling product, Nutshell truly has it all for the small business.

Paying a low price is always a positive as well! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Nutshell?

Once you start to grow your business (medium level) you most likely will begin to outgrow Nutshell. The ease of use counteracts with the customization allowed, meaning you have to find creative avenues to display the information you need where you need it.

It also is fairly hard to add new products/manage them. It is not a recommended CRM if you have hundreds of different products.

It would be really nice if they set up an auto-email function triggered by stages/dates. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Nutshell:

Make sure to do the trial version of Nutshell before completely committing to it. Nutshell may not be the best fit for your particular business if you have hundreds of products. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Nutshell solving and how is that benefiting you?

We had a fairly difficult time organizing the thousands of emails that come in on a monthly basis and we use to lose track of what quotes we sent to people. Many of these email contact complicated questions with detailed quotations that take hours to put together so we were wasting an exuberant of time with repeat data entry. With Nutshell we have been able to better track our contacts, emails, and quotes and save our employees hours of repetitive data entry! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Nutshell?

Nutshell is a very straight forward, user friendly CRM software. It has multiple features that make tracking leads simple, helping prevent warm leads from getting lost in the shuffle. Simple features, like tagging a coworker in a customer note with the @ symbol are so convenient and support a fast-paced office environment. Creating tasks for myself and other team members aides in keeping the communication flowing when team members are in and out of the office. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Nutshell?

Minute details in the customer's name can be a little frustrating. For example, if someone enter a customer's company name as St. Paul, you won't find them if you search Saint Paul or Pooh's Corner vs Poohs Corner. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Nutshell solving and how is that benefiting you?

Our team is small and when one person is not in the office things can easily be overlooked by coworkers. Nutshell helps us store all important information, customer details, and tasks in one place. With multiple people on the road Nutshell makes internal communication and tracking uncomplicated and accessible for everyone on the team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Nutshell?

What I appreciate most about Nutshell is its user-friendly interface that makes onboarding new team members easy and ensures a clear overview of the sales pipeline. The reporting is clean, the automations are helpful, and integrations with tools like Google Workspace and Mailchimp work seamlessly. We especially value their responsive and helpful customer support team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Nutshell?

At times, we’d like more flexibility in customizing reports and filters, especially for more advanced analytics needs. Additionally, some parts of the interface are not fully localized, which can be a barrier for teams not working in English. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Nutshell solving and how is that benefiting you?

Nutshell helps us centralize all our sales and customer interactions in one place, which significantly reduces communication gaps between team members. We’ve streamlined lead tracking, improved follow-ups, and boosted our email campaign efficiency thanks to the built-in email marketing and tracking tools. It also saves us time by integrating smoothly with Google Workspace and other tools we use daily. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Nutshell?

Nutshell syncs almost seamlessly with my email and calendar and has a feature that enables users to make calls right from it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Nutshell?

On the mobile version of Nutshell calls always forwards me to my cell phone dialer instead of making the calls right on the app. I would really appreciate if this is improved in the next update. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Nutshell solving and how is that benefiting you?

1. Significant Time Savings

Automatic email and calendar syncing eliminates manual entry—saving me several hours a week that I’d otherwise spend updating records.

2. Continuity and Accountability

With every one of Nathan’s stakeholder meetings automatically timestamped and logged, I can immediately pick up follow‑ups without tapping Nathan on the shoulder

3. Reduced Communication Overheads

By centralising emails, calls, SMS, and meetings in one platform, response rates improve (up to 29 % higher outreach effectiveness), and our team stays aligned—no matter who’s on duty Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Nutshell?

What I like best about Nutshell is how clean and intuitive the interface is — it’s easy to onboard new team members without a huge learning curve. The pipeline and reporting tools are super helpful for tracking deals at every stage, and the integrations (especially with email and calendars) make staying organized effortless. It feels like a CRM that was actually built with the user in mind, not just the data. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Nutshell?

While Nutshell does a lot of things well, I wish there were more customization options for quotes and email templates — especially when it comes to formatting and branding. Also, deeper integrations with third-party tools (like some accounting or shipping platforms) would make it even more powerful. It’s not a dealbreaker, but a few more advanced automation features would go a long way. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Nutshell solving and how is that benefiting you?

Nutshell is helping us stay organized and efficient with managing leads, tracking quotes, and keeping communication streamlined across the team. Before, we were juggling everything through emails, spreadsheets, and manual follow-ups — which made things easy to miss. Now, we have a clear pipeline view, automated reminders, and better visibility into customer interactions. It’s saving us time, reducing errors, and helping us close deals more consistently. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Jewell July of Nutshell

Thank you for sharing your positive review of Nutshell, Shane! Our team is excited to hear that Nutshell is easy to use, provides helpful reporting features, and integrates well with the platforms you already use!

I also appreciate your feedback about customization for quotes and email templates and deeper integrations. Additional customization for these features is on our roadmap for the future, so stay tuned for those updates. Regarding integrations, you might find that integrating with Zapier or through API keys can help your team achieve the automations you're looking for! What do you like best about Nutshell?

The dashboard is my favorite feature. I appreciate being able to view a lot of important details in one place. I rely heavily on the quick access to activities and tasks. I like being able to have multiple leads tied to one company and multiple people tied to a company as well. I came from an industry specific B2C CRM that was VERY different. At first I wasn't sure I liked Nutshell, but after using it more I appreciate the features and functions that better fit my B2B work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Nutshell?

I'd like to be able to delay or schedule tasks that aren't tied to a specific schedule in the pipeline. It's not always obvious how to do what I need to do. The help articles are sometimes helpful, but not always. However the assistance I've received in the chat is fantastic. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Nutshell?

Let me beging by saying how easy it was to get started with Nutshell. My business partner and I had been bootstrapping multiple platforms together to get our business off the ground. No real integrations, alot of manual inputs and disjointed data was hampering our ability to get our marketing, lead generation and account management communications in sync. I came accross Nutshell doing a routine search and was very quickly connected with their sales team and completed a 45 minute demo. Right away I was able to review their per seat pricing and realize a significant savings by consolidating some of the isolated platforms we were using since Nutshell had those features inbedded in their software. We were impressed with the onboarding process and within 1 month I was able to create new leads, import my marketing and lead generation email lists and create effective broadcasts to get our message out to prospective clients. We did hit a few snags but nothing out of the ordinary and their onboarding and help desk team coupled with their FAQ and AI generated support has been extremely helpful. If I need to contact a live support team member they have been responsive and friendly, willing to work until a resolution is found. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Nutshell?

As with all software, one size does not necessarily fit all and there are some improvements that can be made to fit the work flow of our MSP. With that said, the Nutshell support team has invited constructive input for new features and at times have been able to show me work arounds to accomplish what I need to make the application work for me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Nutshell solving and how is that benefiting you?

Nutshell is bringing Marketing and Lead Generation coupled with multiple communication platforms to help us get our business message out to perpsective clients. The application is also helping me track deals on leads, reminders and follow up tasks and a pipeline that is quick to reveal priorities, potential opportunities and real time analytics with our sales performance. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Nutshell?

I have worked with many CRMs over the years and this was very easy to walk through and learn more about. I love the fact that I can import file to have companies and contacts uploaded. They answer your questions quickly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Nutshell?

The only thing I found is when you make an activity on one screen it won't close out your activity on the dashboard you have to go through the dashboard activity to close it. That is minor for me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Nutshell solving and how is that benefiting you?

It is holding our customers in one spot with all the information on what is going on with those clients. I am sure after using it for a while I will discover other things that I could be using it for. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Nutshell?

The email marketing and tracking tools that Nutshell offers are some of the best I have seen or used. The ability to create beautiful, eye-catching, high-quality emails, email campaigns is extremely well designed and easy to use. Their email designer tool is so easy to use and extremely effective. I use it constantly. It's so easy to implement, and integrates flawlessly into the multitude of other tools I use daily for work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Nutshell?

I'd like more customization ability in regards to how the user interface looks. I am a meticulous note taker, and I hate having to scroll all the way down the page to see my notes in regards to how a conversation or deal was last left off. I'd love if I could customize the page itself to my liking. The same goes for the dashboard itself. More customization options is always a good thing. It would make my constant use of Nutshell more enjoyable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Nutshell solving and how is that benefiting you?

Organization and timing are everything in sales. Both are abilities I would struggle with if I didn't have Nutshell as a tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Jewell July of Nutshell

Thank you for sharing your positive review of Nutshell, Mitch! Our team is excited to hear how you're using Nutshell to create high-quality emails, manage your email marketing campaigns, and organize and automate your communications!

I also appreciate your feedback about having more customization options. It sounds like our Pinned Note feature is a good fit for you: it gives you the ability to pin important notes to the top of a contact's page so you can reference them quickly. You can learn more about Pinned Notes here: https://support.nutshell.com/en/articles/8428920-crm-records-how-to-pin-notes-to-your-timeline.

What do you like best about Nutshell?

We’ve been using Nutshell as our CRM for years, and while no system is ever exactly what you need, Nutshell comes pretty close. Here’s what we love – and where we think there’s room for improvement.

✅ What We Like:

- Pipeline Management – Keeps our sales process streamlined and easy to track.

- Automation – Saves us time and ensures no lead falls through the cracks.

- Constant Updates – Nutshell keeps evolving with new features, showing they listen to users. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Nutshell?

❌ What Could Be Better:

- A few features and options that would benefit us aren’t available yet.

- Like any CRM, it’s tough to find one that fits every need perfectly.

- Reporting is good but it takes a while to get used to how it works, we would like some options to have cards as reports!

That said, Nutshell is always improving, and we’re hopeful that, in time, it’ll become our all-in-one solution! We use it every single day! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Nutshell solving and how is that benefiting you?

We’ve been using Nutshell for years, and it’s been an essential tool for keeping our sales process running smoothly. What do you like best about Nutshell?

I appreciate how Nutshell simplifies a complicated sales process for both beginners and experienced sales representatives. Unlike larger, more cumbersome CRMs on the market, Nutshell features an intuitive drag-and-drop interface that makes it easy to move tasks around. Integrating into our phone system was a breeze!

For me, sending emails or templated emails from within Nutshell has saved so much time from using a 3rd party email program and then having to mark the activity. Automated follow-ups, reminders, and lead assignments have also saved time. Other CRMs may have these features, but they go about it in a more cumbersome way - too many clicks, etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Nutshell?

Although it connects with key tools that enhance its functionality, it lacks as many native integrations as larger CRMs, which may necessitate third-party software for specific workflows. But if you keep it light, you shouldn't have that issue. For my use case, reporting is useful but not as deep as enterprise CRMs. All of this depends on your ORG and how it's structured. For my needs, it gets everything done! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Nutshell solving and how is that benefiting you?

Nutshell helps keep everything organized by centralizing leads, contacts, and communication in one place, so I'm never scrambling for info. It tracks deals visually (I love this feature), automates follow-ups, and syncs with my email to show which prospects are engaged. Plus, the reporting helps keep me on track with performance and revenue targets, while the team collaboration features keep everyone aligned. It’s simple, efficient, and lets me focus on what matters most—building relationships and closing deals! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Jewell July of Nutshell

Thank you for sharing your positive review of Nutshell, Frank! We're excited to hear how Nutshell is simplifying your sales process, saving you time with email communication and automated follow-ups, and organizing all your essential data!

I appreciate your feedback about our native integrations. If you have specific integrations you'd like to request from our team, our App Marketplace solution may be a good fit for your team. You can learn more here: https://www.nutshell.com/features/appconnect.
