What do you like best about Meltwater?

I use Meltwater every single day, multiple times a day. It has tons of features, but the one I use most often is the explore feature to conduct social listening and sentiment analysis for clients. Meltwater is very user-friendly. The UI/UX experience is easy to navigate and implement depending on your personal or your client's needs. The customer support is phenomenal, being extremely quick to respond and provide support when needed. It is additionally very easy to integrate into your current workflow. What do you dislike about Meltwater?

There aren't too many downsides of Meltwater that I've discovered. The only thing I wish would improve is the API capabilities of some of the social platforms within the Explore feature, such as including Threads, providing profile names on Facebook social export lists, or being able to recognize and collect keyword mentions that are included in either video or images themselves versus just the captions. Being aware of all that's happening on social media from a holistic view. It's hugely beneficial to be proactive and anticipate a crisis response immediately versus waiting until it has already broken the news. Meltwater’s clean and intuitive interface makes it easy to navigate and quickly access specific sections of the platform. Creating searches is also easier compared to other platforms like Cision and Sprout Social, which makes tracking media coverage feel more straightforward and less time-consuming. One of the main challenges with Meltwater is the learning curve, it takes some time to get familiar with all the features and how to use them effectively. The labelling of certain sections can also be a bit confusing, especially if you’re not using the platform regularly. Meltwater helps me monitor conversations around specific topics, allowing me to track multiple searches and identify any interesting or concerning social media news, media releases, or online discussions. What do you like best about Meltwater?

Meltwater has been super easy to use. It's very user-friendly and quick to find what feature I'm looking to use. I use it almost every day for marketing and communications purposes; it's helped with my day-to-day work. I really like the scheduling feature on Meltwater, which allows you to plan ahead and choose the ideal time to post based on the activity on your page. Meltwater helps the multiple teams in the marketing, communications, media, and customer service departments work together since we can now find everything in one place. With so many teams working in marketing and communications efforts, it quickly becomes complicated. We now don't need to worry about task tracking and duplicating work since we can see what's being worked on and what's been done in real time on Meltwater. What do you like best about Meltwater?

Meltwater has helped us immensley in creating daily media round ups for our company. It's super simple to create the searches and find daily relevant news based on key words to keep up to date on the industry and how far our reach of in media goes. We also use it to create monthly social media reports and can easily see who our audience it and what content is perfoming the best. What do you like best about Meltwater?

Meltwater's daily digests and robust reporting dashboards make it easy to see exactly what I need! Each morning I start my day reading through the daily digest to see if there are any customer support fires to put out. Meltwater is an expensive tool, but when budgeted for, it has driven results for our immediate team and owners. There is an abundance of features which is helpful, but can make it difficult to know where to begin looking and clicking for an answer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Meltwater allows our team to better capture what customers are saying about our shops online. Most recently, I have been using Meltwater to verify PR analytics. Our previous platform for PR analytics was often inaccurate and Meltwater has given me the confidence to share my findings both internally and externally.

What do you like best about Meltwater?

The daily reports allow me to share news within our organization leadership team about relevant and significant news coverage. The recaps are also helpful, but I really rely on the daily updates. I recently needed some trend and coverage reports over a longer period, and Meltwater's support team was timely and thorough in their response to my request for generating a report. There are so many more features available today than when I first began using Meltwater. They require training and time to view webinars and videos. As a 1-person MarComm operation, Meltwater saves me time by feeding daily and weekly reports directly to my email - as opposed to forcing me to log into the application to view these reports. What do you like best about Meltwater?

As a media monitoring tool, Meltwater is fantastic. The Explore tool makes building queries, refining the results, and synthesizing insights shockingly easy. The Analyze and Monitor features make it a breeze to keep my finger on the pulse of brand mentions and industry updates moment-to-moment.

I use Meltwater for social media deployment as well, and their Engage tool has some extremely useful features that are missing from competitors like Sprout. There are also regular improvements to the platform -- in just a few months we've participated in a beta test for advanced approval workflows and seen multiple new sources for social listening integrated.

Our account team is also extremely attentive and ready to help with anything from tweaking boolean strings to configuring notification settings. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Meltwater?

The Engage tool has really strong architecture but doesn't make full use of it. Spotty integration of social listening data means some brand mentions aren't able to be funneled to the social media inbox. The publishing tool can be inconsistent with tagging other accounts while composing a post and we've run into occasional issues with posts not publishing to certain platforms. The problems aren't structural, it just seems like the tool is a little buggy and not working at its full potential. Getting those issues fixed with the engineering team can also be a hassle. What problems is Meltwater solving and how is that benefiting you?

As a social service nonprofit with a federation model (dozens of independently operating sites across 5 countries) working on a hot-button issue (homelessness), keeping tabs on everything that's being said about our sites and our brand is a challenge. Meltwater helps us find the relevant stories among all the noise and identify crises as they arise. It also helps us deliver communications strategy to our sites -- we can compile lists of journalists to reach out to, track regional mentions for them, and more.

What do you like best about Meltwater?

Meltwater is a great tool for managing all social media accounts. The overall interface is easy to use, which make scheduling posts very quick. The comment management system is great too, since you can have all your accounts pulled up into one spot, and filter out certain types of messages, ex: Direct Messages, so you can react and reply to all the other ones first. What do you like best about Meltwater?

Meltwater has been supporting us for several years on two main points: alerting and influencer marketing. The configuration of searches is facilitated with teams that are attentive and very proactive, allowing us to regularly update terms and track daily outcomes thanks to reports, and even live on the hottest topics with Slack integration! Regarding influence, the tool is very fast and allows us to scrutinize each account before collaborations to ensure the right choice is made, before seeing statistics rise in real-time to best follow the strategy! I don't see any major drawbacks to using Meltwater except for the presentation of the data. There is so much data collected that the dashboards can sometimes be complex and it can be difficult to find the key information. Nevertheless, the user interface of the tool remains good and it's better to be in this position and have too much information than not enough!
