Hootsuite is great for Twitter, particularly the stream feature. It's very helpful to be able to monitor different hashtags, your outgoing messages, and mentions, all in the same dashboard. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
One thing that I wish the more basic subscriptions of Hootsuite had is an approval system. This is largely why I chose a different management system this time around. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

HootSuite is incredibly user-friendly, making it easy to manage multiple social media accounts from a single dashboard. Its intuitive interface allows for quick scheduling, posting, and monitoring, making it a breeze for both beginners and experienced users alike. Setting up HootSuite is straightforward and hassle-free. The initial setup and configuration can be completed within minutes, and the platform offers plenty of guides and resources to assist users in getting started. This ease of implementation ensures that you can start managing your social media accounts without unnecessary delays. As a daily user, HootSuite has become an indispensable tool for managing multiple social media platforms. Its scheduling features and analytics tools are particularly useful for maintaining a consistent online presence and measuring the effectiveness of your social media strategies. One notable downside is HootSuite's handling of holidays. The platform seems to ignore Christian and federal holidays while including numerous lesser-known national days throughout the year. This can be frustrating for users who rely on the platform to acknowledge significant holidays, making the content calendar feel less relevant and useful during these times. I believe it would be best if you had an option, like the iPhone, to select or add holiday preference to help better get and remember certain days. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The calendar is easy to use and even drafts written by other team members can be viewed and modified/scheduled by others. Connecting to your brand's social channels couldn't be easier, however, it does get disconnected every now and then. I've used it on a daily basis since 2018 (with a small break when I switched jobs temporarily and my role didn't include social) so I guess I'm a happy long-term customer. The analytics function isn't great, posted but deleted content is still counted in the tracker and social listening comes with an additional cost not everyone can afford. The basic package prices have also increased significantly over the years but I guess it's not too surprising. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I love the ease of scheduling posts and finding data in reports that would otherwise take me forever on individual channels. The reporting is more reliable than Meta and X which changes too often and without reason. The few times I have talked to anyone on the Hootsuite team, they've been incredibly helpful and easy to work with. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The interface can be improved. I use tagging for reporting and there's no easy way to add a tag after it's published in Hootsuite or natively. That makes it so I can miss data when reporting. I'd love to compare tags and do A/B testing to see which topic performs better. When I export reporting, it's not turnkey to be able to share it with others on my team. Hootsuite is such an easy system to navigate and use! It was really easy to set up from an admin perspective and they have a lot of helpful resources, including videos. We have a wonderful CSM, and they have been helpful and patient with us as this is a newer system for our team. Since we are doing more media-focused activities, we plan to use the system almost daily with multiple social media channels. The enterprise plan has all of the features we need and more! We plan to get a few of our other tech platforms integrated, but I trust it will be a fairly easy process given our experience thus far. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
So far, nothing as it relates to the system's features. It is a little on the pricier side but it suits our needs at this time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Hootsuite has made it much easier to stay organized with social media. I love how I can schedule posts across multiple platforms in one place, it saves me hours of jumping between apps. The calendar view is super helpful for getting a bird’s eye view of what’s coming up, and the ability to preview posts before they go live gives me peace of mind. It’s especially useful when I’m managing content for different brands or clients. Everything feels centralized and more manageable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes it takes extra clicks to get where I need to be, especially when editing scheduled posts. Also, some valuable features like advanced analytics and team collaboration tools are only available on more expensive plans. That part can be limiting if you're a freelancer or managing a smaller business. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The most helpful thing about Hootsuite is how it makes content planning so much easier. I love being able to draft posts ahead of time and visualize the plan for the upcoming month, which makes it simple to share with my team. I also appreciate that I can schedule everything in one place—it saves me from constantly jumping between platforms. Plus, the built-in URL shortener is a nice touch, keeping captions clean and concise. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I love almost everything about Hootsuite, but I do wish there was more paid ad integration. While you can boost posts, having an additional plugin or upsell feature that allows users to digest Meta analytics for paid social ads would be incredibly useful. Since organic and paid efforts often go hand in hand, something similar to what Motion offers—integrated directly into Hootsuite—would be a dream! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like the statistics section, it makes my monthly marketing updates super easy and look great. Recently discovered the listening tool which is much better than expected.
Super easy to integrate with social media platforms. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Hootsuite feels like it is clunky to use when posting social content. I find that agorapulse looks much nicer when looking across the month at what is scheduled to be posted.
I find some things you cannot upload to post in Hootsuite for example: When uploading PDFs to have have a carousel LinkedIn post we find that we have to still post directly on the platform for certain posts to work as we cannot upload a Pdf. Therefore, we have to remember to use Hootsuite when we get out of practicing from using it. The aim is to use it x3 a week and currently I would say we are doing that for social posts but for analysis I use it once a month. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The best thing about hootsuite is that there's cross platform posting which makes it easy for me to publish my posts on brands using one platform, it makes it easy as I do not have to go on different platforms for posting one post. I also love the inbox feature which allows all the DMs from multiple platforms to be on one single place which makes it very easy to reply to the customers. I use this platform everyday for analytics. It's also easy to integrate bitly on this platform to add shortened links. The customer support also is very useful as it helps me solve my queries. I also can make changes on the same platform if there is any error which makes it very easy to use and make changes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Something I don't like about hootsuite is the inbox features is very slow for instagram as It takes a lot of time to implement the changes like resolving the chat or mark it pending and even delivery. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What I appreciate most about Hootsuite is how it centralizes the chaos of social media management into a single, streamlined dashboard. Instead of toggling between platforms and drowning in tabs, I can schedule posts, monitor engagement, and reply to messages across Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram from one place. The calendar view is a game-changer—it lets me visualize our content pipeline weeks ahead, spot gaps, and drag-and-drop posts effortlessly. For teams, the collaboration features are a lifesaver; assigning drafts to colleagues, setting approval workflows, and leaving comments directly on posts eliminates endless email threads and Slack pings. While it’s not perfect, that birds-eye view of our social presence—plus the time saved by batching content—makes it a tool I’d miss if it vanished tomorrow. Software is easy to use and have better customer support. I have been using it since last 2 years. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The analytics dashboard looks impressive at first glance—shiny graphs, exportable reports, and all the metrics you’d expect. But spend five minutes digging in, and the cracks show. The most glaring issue? Wildly inflated percentages that make no sense. I’ve seen posts supposedly “up 3,800% in engagement” when I know the actual lift was modest—likely a glitch in how they calculate baselines or aggregate data. It’s super easy to use, even if you’re not very tech-savvy. The dashboard is clean and everything’s where you’d expect it to be. I love how quick it is to schedule posts across multiple platforms, and the bulk upload feature saves us a ton of time. The analytics are also really helpful. It’s nice being able to track how our posts are doing in one place. Plus, the recommendations for the best times to post have definitely helped improve engagement. Honestly, not much. My recommendation for benchmarking tools is to allow more flexibility. Right now, the industry categories are pretty broad, which makes it hard to get an accurate comparison. It would be great if we could filter by location, company size, or add more specific competitors. That kind of detail would make the insights a lot more useful.
