I like the statistics section, it makes my monthly marketing updates super easy and look great. Recently discovered the listening tool which is much better than expected.
Super easy to integrate with social media platforms. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Hootsuite feels like it is clunky to use when posting social content. I find that agorapulse looks much nicer when looking across the month at what is scheduled to be posted.
I find some things you cannot upload to post in Hootsuite for example: When uploading PDFs to have have a carousel LinkedIn post we find that we have to still post directly on the platform for certain posts to work as we cannot upload a Pdf. Therefore, we have to remember to use Hootsuite when we get out of practicing from using it. The aim is to use it x3 a week and currently I would say we are doing that for social posts but for analysis I use it once a month. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The best thing about hootsuite is that there's cross platform posting which makes it easy for me to publish my posts on brands using one platform, it makes it easy as I do not have to go on different platforms for posting one post. I also love the inbox feature which allows all the DMs from multiple platforms to be on one single place which makes it very easy to reply to the customers. I use this platform everyday for analytics. It's also easy to integrate bitly on this platform to add shortened links. The customer support also is very useful as it helps me solve my queries. I also can make changes on the same platform if there is any error which makes it very easy to use and make changes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Something I don't like about hootsuite is the inbox features is very slow for instagram as It takes a lot of time to implement the changes like resolving the chat or mark it pending and even delivery. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What I appreciate most about Hootsuite is how it centralizes the chaos of social media management into a single, streamlined dashboard. Instead of toggling between platforms and drowning in tabs, I can schedule posts, monitor engagement, and reply to messages across Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram from one place. The calendar view is a game-changer—it lets me visualize our content pipeline weeks ahead, spot gaps, and drag-and-drop posts effortlessly. For teams, the collaboration features are a lifesaver; assigning drafts to colleagues, setting approval workflows, and leaving comments directly on posts eliminates endless email threads and Slack pings. While it’s not perfect, that birds-eye view of our social presence—plus the time saved by batching content—makes it a tool I’d miss if it vanished tomorrow. Software is easy to use and have better customer support. I have been using it since last 2 years. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The analytics dashboard looks impressive at first glance—shiny graphs, exportable reports, and all the metrics you’d expect. But spend five minutes digging in, and the cracks show. The most glaring issue? Wildly inflated percentages that make no sense. I’ve seen posts supposedly “up 3,800% in engagement” when I know the actual lift was modest—likely a glitch in how they calculate baselines or aggregate data. It’s super easy to use, even if you’re not very tech-savvy. The dashboard is clean and everything’s where you’d expect it to be. I love how quick it is to schedule posts across multiple platforms, and the bulk upload feature saves us a ton of time. The analytics are also really helpful. It’s nice being able to track how our posts are doing in one place. Plus, the recommendations for the best times to post have definitely helped improve engagement. Honestly, not much. My recommendation for benchmarking tools is to allow more flexibility. Right now, the industry categories are pretty broad, which makes it hard to get an accurate comparison. It would be great if we could filter by location, company size, or add more specific competitors. That kind of detail would make the insights a lot more useful. I work with a series of gyms and franchises and I love that Hootsuite allows me to post on all of my individual platforms but also allows me to cross promote when I need to! The option to customize my captions for each platform is super helpful and allows me to streamline my work. It was really easy to introduce to my team and use collaboratively! The only downside I have found using Hootsuite is not being able to schedule Instagram stories. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I started using hootsuite in my first marketing role out of university. I found the tool really easy to pick up with minimal support and have continued using it to this day. I've even gone on to help colleagues who are new to the tool.
Overall working within a small company it is an amazing tool for scheduling posts especially for when I'm away or other obligations come up helping ensure our social media channels don't get neglected. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes I have had problems with things certain connections to social media. When I have had issues the customer support have been able to assist me but can be annoying when it happens. Sometimes this may not necessarily be Hootsuite's fault as it may be caused by the platforms themselves. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like scheduling and amending posts for multiple accounts in one setting. One thing that I end up using a lot is drafts. I often have images for posts on different devices, and the functionality differs from mobile to desktop, but with draft, I can add and remove pictures from one device to another with a simple click. Although I like being able to edit images from device to device using drafts, having more functionality on mobile would be great, like being able to make individual changes per platform, like adjusting image size, editing text, and changing the number of images posted.
Also, having access to native features 9especially for IG) on the dashboard would streamline workflow immensely. Although it seems to have improved lately, early on when we first started using the platform, there were bugs. Lots of bugs including disconnected accounts, failed posts, and service interruptions, which were alarming, but that seems to be improving. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I have been using Hootsuite for three years. Hootsuite is a powerful platform for scheduling and managing posts across multiple social networks, including Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn. The dashboard is intuitive, making organizing content calendars and collaborating with teams easy. The bulk scheduling feature saves time, and the mobile app is handy for on-the-go updates. Customer support is generally helpful, and the platform is reliable for consistent posting. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The biggest drawback is the analytics, which often seem exaggerated and inconsistent with native platform data, making performance tracking unreliable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like the ability to manage multiple social media accounts in one place. The scheduling tool is particularly helpful for planning content in advance, and the user interface is intuitive and easy to navigate. It saves me a ton of time by automating posts across platforms like Twitter, LinkedIn, and Facebook. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Some of the best features are only available in the more expensive plans, which may be limiting for small businesses or solo users. Additionally, the analytics dashboard could be more customizable to suit specific campaign goals. At times, the mobile app feels a bit laggy compared to the desktop version. Hootsuite is an outstanding all-in-one platform for managing and distributing content across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Threads. Once you get the hang of it, it's incredibly easy to use, with plenty of helpful hints and tips to guide you. One of its best features is automatic image resizing, which ensures your visuals look perfect on every platform without any extra effort. The centralized inbox is a huge time-saver, allowing you to view and respond to all comments and messages in one place, making community engagement seamless. The AI-powered tools are a bonus, offering smart suggestions for content, post timing, and hashtags, helping you optimize your strategy. The intuitive content calendar makes scheduling a breeze, and integrations with tools like Canva and Google Drive streamline your workflow even more. Whether you're a solo user or part of a team, Hootsuite makes managing social media efficient, organized, and genuinely enjoyable. Love this software!! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The only downside is that it took a bit of time to get used to everything at first, but once this was mastered am flying.. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
