Hive has been really helpful in helping our team be able to work more efficiently in unison while not being present with each other. Instead of having to talk to eachother and then reply to an email, Hiver gives us easy visibility into what is happening behind the scenes. It's relatively user friendly and the team picked up how to use it quicly. Hiver's customer service is also very helpful! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
After installing Hiver- things just move slower in the email platform/URL/inbox.
It is quite a heavy lift to install Hiver and get it working as efficiently as I know it can! It's a LOT of manual work upfront which would be my biggest hesitency in recommending it to someone. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What I like most about Hiver is that it is very flexible. We have a shared email inbox in our Financial team and we use it do distribute an allocate workload and it works like magic. Not only for support teams, but for operations is also very helpful. Very easy to implement, only a few clicks away. We use it daily in our operations team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We use the free plan so I think we get some limitation, we could have at least 2 tags for example, that would be helpful. But I understand that these are the benefits of the paid plans. Did not try the integrations to see if it is easy to integrate to other systems. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Hiver provides the functionality to manage a shared email address between multiple people directly through Google's email interface. New emails pop into the Hiver managed folders where your assigned team can all see them. It's very simple to manage the emails through assignments, comments, and tags. Hiver takes the chaos of a Google group or shared email address and adds a layer of functionality and workflow. It is a gamechanger. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I don't like that there is a need for Hiver. This is not an issue with Hiver but with Google. Google needs to buy Hiver and integrate this functionality directly into their email service. This functionality is necessary for many business customers and would be a big selling point for Google's enterprise services. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
With Hiver, we are able to maintain a remote team that is able to communicate effectively. Hiver allows us to turn email into a "ticketing system" of sorts, without having to add an additional piece of software. Being able to assign emails and communicate in the notes section makes it easy to collaborate, and also keeps all of the details about each email attached to the email so that we never have to search for information. Hiver was easy to set up, and works seamlessly with GMail. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The only downside that I've found so far is that you have to manually enable and disable auto-responders, instead of being able to schedule them like an out of office reply. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
If you need a ticketing system, but you cannot get rid of GMail, that's the best thing to add to shared mailboxes. It's also super easy to implement and use, as it's nicely integrated with GMail layout. I also appreciate the quick support from Hiver team in case we have any questions / feature requests / problems. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Built-in analytics is very simple for now, so you'll probably have to prepare your own based on the "csv import" feature. SLA function is also quite basic for the moment, but at least you can set up a simple version from the start. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Hiver has completely transformed the way we manage team emails in our business. With its seamless integration into Gmail, we can track, assign, and resolve emails efficiently without leaving our inbox.
We are extremely satisfied and will continue using Hiver for the long run! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Hiver is a fantastic tool, but for small teams or startups, the pricing can be a bit steep compared to some alternatives. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like how responsive the Hiver is to our team's needs. Mike is always helpful with brainstorming with our team. We appreciate all the help and support he has provided in training, new approaches to the product, and more. I am so excited to work with Mike and the product team to develop a chatbot for our website. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I do not have anything that I dislike about Hiver. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It is awesome at organizing shared email accounts and fairly intuitive when it comes to implementation and adoption. The notes function is excellent to assign, and link others to review an email and notes to provide background information. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It can occasionally be glitchy, but if you are able to reconcile and audit accounts the results fairly accurate. This is rare, but will sometimes mean you will not see an updated/replied to email after the initial reply Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
When our CEO introduced us to Hiver, my first impression is that nothing could be as good as advertised. We easily get 100 plus emails a day of medical records that must be uploaded properly and suspensed throughout the 20 member team. Litle did I know that Hiver categorization makes it possible to handle an avalanche of emails by allowing the work load to be categorized and allow anyone free from a task to step in and pick up someone else's workload to keep them from falling behind. The best way to describe what Hiver does is balance the workload and keep up with the deadlines and tasks much easier. Once I finish uploading all the faxes, I look and see which employee appears to have too many emails assigned to her, so I text her I'll jump in and start processing some of her workload. Or if someone is busy intaking a new client (and it can be two or three hours), she or he can signal to rest of employees on google chat that need help in my email box for next hour and someone jumps to it. Our workload is distributed more equally but the outcome is since utilizing and training on Hiver we rarely fall behind in timely processing of the many tasks our legal office requires. Makes multi-tasking much easier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Least helpful is that it's easy to think someone is behind processing tasks and to assume they are not keeping up when the reality is they are speaking with clients or business vendors handling matters. When you have a multiploe email chain, you have to remember that the first email might be closed and assigned to someone but that the next eail might also need closing after confirming the assignee. Other than that, hard to think of any negatives as it is a must for companies that need multi-tasking. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
