What do you like best about Gusto?

Easy pricing structure that provides transparency (no hidden fees) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Gusto?

I honestly have not had any issues to date. We have been with Gusto for 1 year so far. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Gusto solving and how is that benefiting you?

We had originally been with a larger payroll provider and we always had additional fees popping up that we

would have to follow up with a call for clarity. And then even when we would get an answer it was never clear on our end. With Gusto our onboarding of new hires has been very efficient with this service which has been great! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Gusto?

I have been using Gusto for the last 4 years. Even have gone transferred our Gusto account to our new company. Which most would think it would be hard to do. With Gusto and the staff it was a breeze to change everything over and not loosing any or our Employees information. It has been such a pleasure to learn Gusto and everything it has to offer. When you are a small Medical Practice and wear many hats ease is the key and Gusto make it easy! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Gusto?

I have not found a downside to Gusto. Every time I have needed help with anything their team has been super supportive. Wither it be by calling them or using chat. They take their time with you and explain everything in great length. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Gusto solving and how is that benefiting you?

I do not have any problems currently. When we our company was sold, the new company wanted to keep payroll and HR all the same. Gusto helped us in making sure that we were able to transfer all records over with ease. I did not have to reinvent the wheel during a time that was stressful enough. What do you like best about Gusto?

Gusto has saved me a huge amount of time. Onboarding was easy and their team did most of the heavy lifting. Since switching, I have been able to integrate payroll with a lot of other systems and streamline the whole process. There are tons of features that we can grow into, so I don't feel like I have maxed out the system from day one. Having an account representative that I can quickly get ahold of if an issue comes up gives me additional confidence in their platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Gusto?

When Gusto launches features, sometimes it feels like they are launched half baked with less than the bare minimum requirements to make it useful. For instance, their scheduling system launched without that ability to copy and paste shifts, create shift templates, and there is no way for employees to enter their availability. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Gusto solving and how is that benefiting you?

Gusto makes payroll much simpler for me. Instead of having multiple systems that don't communicate, we now have one system that handles most of the tasks we need. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Gusto?

There's 4 things I like the most.

1. Gusto files all tax documents for us, in the past we did and I never want to go back to that.

2. When running payroll it's very simple and user friendly. If you need to adjust pay, run a bonus etc it/s incredibly easy to do

3. If for whatever you do have a question there support team is very prompt and knowledgeable

4. They connect with Xero which is who we use for accounting Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Gusto?

I don't really have any dislikes. My only minor complaint would be that it would be great it they had a bookkeeping option in house vs having to go elsewhere. We were already using to Xero, which partners with Gusto so it was a very easy and smooth data feed transition so again it's a very minor complaint. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Gusto solving and how is that benefiting you?

Gusto files our payroll taxes, in the past we had to do that and it's significantly easier and frees up time on our end. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Gusto?

So far, my favorite thing about Gusto is the reliability. Our employees haven't had a Gusto related issue with our paychecks in 5 years now. I also appreciate how easy it is to access my W2 and information about my benefits. We haven't had to use it much, but the customer support was also helpful and got things back to normal quickly the one time we did have an issue (which was company related, not Gusto's fault). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Gusto?

I haven't had any issues using Gusto so far so it's hard to come up with anything to say that I dislike about it. If there was anything I'd like to see added, it would be a more detailed breakdown of what comes out of my paycheck. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Gusto solving and how is that benefiting you?

It solves any organizational issues by having all of the information I need in one place. I know if I need any information regarding my employment, benefits, pay, time off, etc., it's all there and easy to find in Gusto. It has also made sure that my paychecks come regularly for at least the past 5 years. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Gusto?

One of the biggest things I appreciate about using Gusto is how clean and easy it is to navigate past payroll runs. Seriously—I've used a handful of payroll platforms over the years, and Gusto’s payroll history is by far the clearest I’ve seen. You can instantly see what was paid, when it hit, how much went where—and if you need to export anything, it’s quick and painless. There's no digging through tabs or downloading mystery reports to figure out what happened last pay period.

Another win: the onboarding process for new hires. It’s refreshingly simple. From the moment you send out the invite, Gusto guides both you and the employee through the setup with clear steps and no confusion. It handles direct deposit info, tax forms, and even lets you customize welcome messages. I’ve had people tell me it made a great first impression—which isn’t something you usually hear about payroll software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Gusto?

There’s really just one hang-up, and that’s around managing multiple profiles or clients. If you work with more than one company on Gusto, you’re required to use a different email address for each account. That means logging in and out, managing multiple passwords, and sometimes missing notifications if you forget to check one. It’d be a huge improvement if Gusto allowed you to log in once and switch between profiles—like a dashboard that holds all your access points in one place. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Gusto solving and how is that benefiting you?

As someone who gets paid through Gusto, the biggest win is having a single place to check in on my pay history without hassle. I’m not digging through emails or waiting on someone from HR to send me a PDF. I can just log in, see exactly when I was paid, how much was withheld, and where everything went. It’s all there, laid out in a clean, straightforward way.

That’s the problem Gusto solves—it takes the mystery out of getting paid. No more wondering if direct deposit hit, no more fuzzy math around deductions. I get transparency and peace of mind, which is honestly more than I expected from a payroll platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Gusto?

Gusto was recommended by my friend who has 60+ employees. He shared that it was easy, efficient and fast. I have experienced the same results. Easy to manage at work via computer or on the go via my phone. Simple to add employees and simple to process payroll and expenses. Platform was easy to integrate with our bank and the transactions are seamless and efficient. I highly recommend Gusto to any existing business that is having payroll challenges and definitely any new startup's that want to have a controlled platform that can scale fast and efficiently. Gusto has taken on an important responsibility yet the time I spend on the platform is simply transactional and fast to complete. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Gusto?

There is nothing I dislike about Gusto. Wait, there is...that once a month email with the bill!!! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Gusto solving and how is that benefiting you?

I initially tried ADP which my prior company had. It appeared clunky and was not compatible on the banking side. Customer Service was lacking and was fortunate to speak with my friend who uses them and is super happy. Gusto is not solving problems...they ARE the Solution to all things payroll. Gusto has made managing Payroll, Contractor payments and the onboarding system very efficient. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Gusto?

Employees and managers can both view time off requests and how much PTO each employee has remaining. As the admin, I like that I can view what type of PTO the employee is requesting, and I can approve or decline and leave a note for the employee. Before using Gusto, we were keeping track of PTO on a spreadsheet. Employees can also view their check stubs and employee profiles if changes are needed. It makes HR related tasks easy for both the employer and employee. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Gusto?

When we switched to Gusto, we lost the employee's payroll history. We had to go in and manually add notes to the account on when employee's payroll history changed throughout their years of employment. Not a big deal, just time consuming. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Gusto solving and how is that benefiting you?

Employees can now view their benefits and explanation of plans through their account. We added our employee manual and new hire information for employees to view easily. Before using Gusto, we had to print out paycheck stubs and deliver to employees, as well as tax forms. Now employees have access to that information in their account and can view or change information in their employee profile when there is a change. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Gusto?

I was getting my client set up to use Gusto but had a family emergency come up. My clients are not super tech savvy and I am the only staff member at my firm, so as a major setup deadline approached and I was unable to fully assist my client with their questions due to dealing with the family emergency, I reached out to my Gusto sales person for an answer to a question. He asked for my clients contact info, set up a Zoom meeting with him, and walked him through the rest of the setup so that payroll could be run on time. This Gusto support makes it possible to me as a solopreneuer to support my clients with the best care. I recommend Gusto to my clients because they deliver the service that I deliver and therefore, maintain my brand with my clients. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Gusto?

It would be nice if I could call for tech support but usually have to use the chat feature for that function. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Gusto solving and how is that benefiting you?

Gusto manages payroll for my clients who have a small non-profit so they do not have to struggle or stress about the specifics. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Gusto?

We've been using it to manage contractor payments, taxes, and onboarding, and it's been a game-changer. The platform is super intuitive and allows us to process payments smoothly and on time. It has been saving us a lot of time and headaches.

One of my favorite features is how organized everything is — from payment history to tax filings, all in one place. It also gives my contractors access to their own dashboards, which makes communication and transparency so much easier.

I also had the chance to use their customer support, and I was really impressed. The representative who helped me was incredibly patient, knowledgeable, and took the time to walk me through each step to solve my issue. It gave me even more confidence in the platform, knowing there’s solid support behind it.

Highly recommend for any small business looking to simplify their payroll and contractor management process! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Gusto?

What do you like best about Gusto?

I enjoy the ease of use of the entire platform. Pricing is very reasonable. They send you an email after submitting payroll so you have proof of submission. I have worked with other companies that failed to meet these things that Gusto does very well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Gusto?

I don't have any negatives to say about Gusto. I like everything about it from the pricing to it's ease of use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Gusto solving and how is that benefiting you?

I’ve been using Gusto for the past six months in my small–but–growing business, and it’s hands-down made payroll day stress-free. The setup was surprisingly quick—importing our team’s info and syncing with time-tracking tools took just minutes—and their intuitive dashboard lets me run off-cycle checks or review upcoming payroll in a couple of clicks. I especially appreciate the automated tax filings and reminders; knowing that Gusto handles state and federal filings accurately gives me real peace of mind. Their customer support is consistently responsive and helpful whenever I have a question about benefits administration or a last-minute hire. Overall, Gusto has turned what used to be a tedious monthly chore into one of my favorite parts of managing the business. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
