It has allowed my business (Welsh Histories) the opportunity to receive donations from those who are interested in donating. Prior to Donorbox, my only other form of donation was Patreon and, as you can imagine, it is a daily effort to get people to sign up for it as not everybody uses it. I am yet to find a single dislike about Donorbox. One area to improve, perhaps, could be a comments section with the donation button which gauges the views of those making donations, or not. This software package is so affordable, easy to install and use and get all of its benefits in a short time and once it is done, it keeps going on without any further effort to keep and maintain it. It integrates payment processers and gets immediate and timely information about the donors, transaction number, amounts donated and a monthly cumulative report on total donations. I had difficulty in updating my Campaign details, because the menus are a bit confusing and the edited details get lost. Further, integration with payment processors is very tedious and intricate, may be perhaps because of strict security requirements by Stripe and Pay Pal. Also, pairing of Stripe M2 reader with the Kiosk tablet is sometimes not easy. In addition, the selection of Campaign Page and Campaign Form are confusing and I had difficulty in linking it with our website.

Most of the advanced features cost extra money each month and such extra payments make this software expensive and unaffordable for organizations with modest budgets for payment of this software. I used DonorBox for a fundraising campaign and the experience was very positive. The interface is intuitive and allows you to create a campaign in just a few steps, customizing description, images and goals. The payment system is secure and supports several options, facilitating donations.

One of the strengths is the ability to easily share the campaign on social media and via email, increasing visibility. In addition, customer support is prompt and available when needed.

Donorbox made it incredibly easy for us to set up and manage our fundraising campaign. The platform’s user-friendly interface, seamless integration with our website, and ability to accept recurring donations helped us raise over $7,000 last year. The customizable donation forms and automated donor receipts also added a professional touch to our campaign. I really prefer having a telephone number to contact someone. I realize that emails are more effecient, but when you are dealing with technical things and other people's money, it would be greatly appreciated if there was a number to call not just a faceless email to write to. Occasionally the ease of use also means basic functionality. The forms are okay but are difficult to customize and you are given a rigid framework to work within. Customer support can sometimes take a long time to respond. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Our nonprofit chose Donorbox because of the positive experience we'd had on the donor side previously. Donorbox allows us to spend only what we need to accept donations in a user-friendly way. We plan to integrate with our CRM using an affordable add-on. We're so glad Donorbox doesn't require us to purchase a higher tier service overall in order to get this functionality.

We were able to set up a fundraising page and form very quickly. Our experience with customer support so far has been great, responsive and accomodating when confusion about ACH versus bank transfer arose (involving unexpected fees that they then refunded). We have two main frustrations. One has been that donors do not receive immediate email confirmations when donating via ACH or bank transfer. They have to wait until the funds clear, which can take up to a week if it's over a holiday weekend. The second is that when we update our donation form, despite showing as updated on the preview page, it does not get reflected on the campaign page itself. It was the easiness of creating an account and implementing it with our website. The integration was simple and very quick, less than one hour. Also, the fact that you can create monthly subscription in a few clicks is just fantastic. People can access it frequently and the Donorbox is a well-known brand that people trust. The main reason we moved to DonorBox is because our non-profit wants to be able to give thank you gifts for donations. We used charity.gofundme. com for the last 9 years, but they suspended our last fundraiser because we give different thank you gifts for various sizes of donation.

I contacted DonorBox customer service to ask if thank you gifts were allowed, and they responded very quickly and said yes. That was our main reason for switching, but after setting up our first campagin I have to say that DonorBox is better in everyway.

I wish we would have switched to DonorBox years ago. It's amazing how customizable everything is, even without paying for the pro plan. It's great to be able to keep everything on brand with our logos and colors. Sometimes donors get a little nervous about donating because they aren't always confident that the money is going to the right place.

With GoFundMe Charity it was extremely difficult to even get the donors email address, but with DonorBox everything is really easy to figure out so getting thank you gifts to our donors should be straight forward and really easy. Love it so far. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Donorbox has a great onboarding experience to make sure you can customize your donation link details like design, text copy, and more. Every detail along the setup process is easy but effective. By the end of the process, I had a donation tool customized exactly how I liked it, plus I was still on the free plan. All of Donorbox’s plans, including the free tier and paid tiers, take a cut of every single donation. What that means is for every dollar donated to your organization, Donorbox takes a cut. As a professional software engineer, I recognize this as a predatory business practice rooted in corporate greed.
