Buffer is used for content curation and scheduling posts for social media. The chrome extension makes the ability to find quality content very easy to share. As you browse the internet and find an interesting read or graphic you simply buffer it and your post is scheduled.
However, Buffer is so much more than that. Yes you can schedule posts to go out at different times and check your feeds to see optimal times to share etc. Yes you can stock up on the posts and only send a few out a day. But the real magic that I found beyond the typical use of Buffer is scheduled advertising. I do a lot of presenting across the nation and when I am in the middle of a conference I don't have the time to post to my social media. Before I leave for my conference I schedule several posts with the presentation information in regards of where to find me etc. I then add the conference hashtag and schedule for a few days before the conference, a few days during the conference and then a thank you for after the conference. It works like a charm and I get a lot of likes and follows because of it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Buffer used to have the ability to attach RSS feeds and then choose content right from the buffer app. I miss that feature. I also am not a real fan of the mobile version of Buffer. I do 99% of Buffer work on my laptop or desktop. The app is a little dull and not very user friendly. I also wish they had not done away with a separate Buffer app that shared great content that you could add to your scheduled posts with just the swipe of the article left or right. I understand that Buffer is not a content curation tool as much as a scheduling tool, but those features were nice.
Also the instagram section does not work very well. you can not set articles to run without having original graphics. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We were able to increase our brand's visibility and presence by optimizing Buffer's ability to analyze the performance of our posts. This has allowed us to change our approach and achieve higher engagement results. It is a platform that makes it easy to manage multiple social media accounts and launch campaigns across multiple platforms. The ability to create ads quickly is fantastic, and the best part is the clear methodology that makes it easy to understand. I also like their customized reporting. With Buffer, gathering the necessary components for a raw data dump is a breeze. A wealth of tracking, reporting and management options are at your fingertips. Because it scales so efficiently, it comes highly recommended for large organizations with big marketing budgets. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It's served us well, but if I could change one thing, it would be the interface; it's not always the fastest and has limitations when dealing with large data sets. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Simplcity of sending and adjusting tone and hastags by platform. However I did notice a a 20% decrease when I start using the feature. I am unsure if it was my content of a bad week for social engagement. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It can be a little glitchy and often you have to go in a manually resend a post. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Integrates with most social media sites, also very good price structure. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I wish there will be an option for bulk posting, more like you have in Canva or Blaze.ai Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
You can connect most of your social media platforms and create a schedule. It allows you to cusomize the posts so while they may be similar, you're putting something different on each platform.
Tracks the statistics of your X feed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Doesn't seem to prvoide analytics for all platforms. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I've been using Buffer for 5 years, and it has helped me the way I manage my main social media profiles. In particular, the platform's scheduling feature has simplified my life but also the simply way to repost published content. I'm able to get more done throughout the day since I can pre-schedule my social media updates in advance.
The way it manages the several images associated to the publication was what I have enjojed most since Buffer showed up in the market. Also the custom URL shortener which can connect with your analytics. Both features are also excellent.
Buffer is a great option for those who want to publish and re-publish quickly using the basic social media features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
As I said earlier, I have used Buffer for a long time with no main issues but the use of emojis was quite tedious for many years of using the tool. Recently Buffer has solved it by showing your most used emojis first to select instead of having to scroll down all the emojis if it happened you needed to select a country flag...one of the last emojis in the list, which was really annoying.
I have not liked that on the free plan Buffer has removed the posibility to have threaded tweets. This just got updated creating a kind of confussion since the "upgrade" message kept showing up when some weeks ago was added to the free plan. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The best part of the software is that is quite fluent and easy to navigate and understand. Also, they have responsive customer support which gives a great user experience. Mostly I use this platform daily to manage all my social media accounts and also schedule multiple posts at different timings for better results. It is quite easy to integrate it with all other social media accounts of our organizations in seconds. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The software is a good-to-go software and quite easy to understand but initially while using and implementing all the tools and functions of the software. It confused our team regarding how to go further with the advanced scheduling and post-queuing but gradually we learned the process and worked on it flawlessly.
