What do you like best about BambooHR?

BambooHR gives you the ability to provide employees with functionality within the full HR lifecycle. The system is overall easy to use for both admin and end users and very aesthetically pleasing. The onboarding is easy to use, track, and communicate our company's tasks with a new hire. I love being able to create custom workflows and approvals for our company and signature documents make admin tasks easy.

What I love the most is that BBHR is always open to feedback, growing, and implementing change on a regular basis. Customer support is extremely easy to reach via chat, phone, or email. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about BambooHR?

I would love for BBHR to integrate with employee navigator for benefits. I would also love to have the app launched for employees to be able to clock in/out onsite. The Geolocation is not working for our workforce. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is BambooHR solving and how is that benefiting you?

We did not have a way to reach our full workforce as many employees work in the warehouse and do not have company provided email addresses. BambooHR's community page has allowed us to seemlessly communicate with all employees or different groups. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about BambooHR?

BambooHR is extremely customizable and user friendly! It saves our team countless hours every week. We can easily access information in seconds. The reports and charts are informative and allow us to make decisions easily. We've been using BambooHR for 4 years now and it is by far our favorite software. Now if only Bamboo could add a Project Management module...LOL!

What do you dislike about BambooHR?

The only thing that I would improve is the lock out time. I work in a busy office as an HR Manager and toggle between multiple programs. Unfortunately, BambooHR times out within a few minutes so I find myself logging back in to the software over 12 times per day. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is BambooHR solving and how is that benefiting you?

BambooHR allows us to onboard new employees quickly and remotely. It allows our employees to easily request time off. We manage performance reviews through the system and this allows detailed history of each employee. What do you like best about BambooHR?

The time off request emails are good - they show who on your team will be out and you can single click approve from the email itself. Otherwise none of the functionality is worth the price and the price uncertainty. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about BambooHR?

Biggest issue is how much they have increased prices and continue to do so. They know that switching HRMS is painful. Every year is either a large price increase or our plan being sunsetted with the only option being to switch to a more expensive plan (but no price increase as they repeatedly point out!). I regret having selected BambooHR, it is now overpriced for what we have and I have no reason to believe they won't continue to squeeze more money out of us. What do you like best about BambooHR?

Before implementing BambooHR - our HR team did not have access to a lot of our people data. We did not have an HRIS system, so it was incredibly difficult to have any basic data. Just having the Core data so easily accessible via the mobile app is a gamechanger for us. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about BambooHR?

Some of the ways we do our reporting is by title and we need to "remember" to update when we add titles. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is BambooHR solving and how is that benefiting you?

BambooHR changed the way we have been able to access information. One improvement is that we were able to create our own customized tab to centralize company-wide monthly recognition, eliminating a previously manual process. This has saved time and our improved efficiency. BambooHR has also improved our eNPS process. We spent hours of manual analysis with our previous vendor. BambooHR organizes the data and helps us identify and analyzes things more quickly. What do you like best about BambooHR?

I love that there are always new updates that come out, so I can be sure we are up to date on trends and what works for managing the employee life cycle. What do you dislike about BambooHR?

Its not a downside, but I would appreciate if there was an option to integrate 1:1s with Outlook Calendar. Another thing would be to allow the creation of subfolders in the files section, as the documents can be somewhat unorganized without sub folders. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about BambooHR?

It saves me so much time. It allows for consistency and thoroughness on onboarding. The performance review process and engagement surveys are a dream! For every process, it makes it easier to track everything. I don't have to remember everything anymore or make tons of lists. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about BambooHR?

My only suggestion on how to make it better is on the engagement surveys. When they are sent out, there is not a way to pick the employees that you want to complete it. We have our board of directors in our employee count. They dont take the engagement survey, so that does affect the numbers. What do you like best about BambooHR?

BambooHR is a one-stop shop for any HR professional. Major pluses for me is its intuitive, easy-to-use platform for the admin and the user, the custom reports with e-signature functionality, the robust hiring platform, as well as the payroll system.....that is just to name my favorites! I think the 'cherry on top' is the customer support, which are knowledgeable, quick to respond, and follow-through to ensure you got all the answers needed. I can get support via chat for something quick, or put in a call back, or support ticket for something more in-depth. They are top-notch from start to finish. 10 out 10 would recommend! What do you like best about BambooHR?

BambooHR is intuitive from set up to implementation. Each year BambooHR has taken customer feedback to develop and add so many new features and interfaces providing a more robust all inclusive solution for HR offices everywhere. As a construction company, we needed something our team in the field could easily access no matter where they were. From the perspective of the HR department of one, it is my daily one stop shop for managing everything from communciation to time off approvals, Progressive disicpline documentation and so much mor. BambooHR has been an effective tool, allowing us to focus in on production, safety, and growing our business. What do you like best about BambooHR?

I use BambooHR daily for HR procedures. Everything employee related is housed there. I think their performance review process is very helpful and I LOVE their reports. I can pull so much helpful data very easily. We've been using this program for over 7 years. As a company, we've looked at different software in the past, but BambooHR is so sleek and user friendly that I could never go back to a clunky HRIS. They have a lot of great content to help you figure different things out and everyone I've talked to at that company is very helpful, kind, and professional. What do you dislike about BambooHR?

I have heard people say that they are dissapointed with the benefits administration add on. There were some capabilities that they wish would have been there, that they felt was very standard. It's still a new software that they are working on so it's definitely in the learning stage. However, for a company the size of 50, I was able to spend about 10 hours on our open enrollment from top to bottom with BambooHR and that's it, so I found it a helpful software add on. We don't use the payroll feature or the ATS because we found other software more capable in those two areas. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We use Bamboo for performance management, peer feedback, onboarding packages and offer letters, houses all employee information, PTO requests and accruals, numerous different reports, and open enrollment. My favorite feature is the reports. I can easily calculate turnover and head count reports, performance reports with numerical data, benefit administration reports, etc. I feel like the reports especially make my job easier and save me a lot of time. What do you like best about BambooHR?

I love that everything is located in one place. I don't have worksheets and word docs all over that hold various pieces of HR and payroll information. Reports are easy to access and customize. I also love the Benefits add-on. It makes insurance enrollments and changes so easy and I know information is being pulled into payroll correctly and on time. What do you dislike about BambooHR?

My biggest complaint about BambooHR is when I receive email replies from Customer Support, they don't include my original email to them. I'm a busy person, as most HR pros are, and if too much time goes by before I get a reply, I sometimes forget exactly what I needed help with. As I previously mentioned, I love the benefits add-on. It has made the open enrollment period so easy and time saving! Once I got the hang of adding the plans and enrollment windows, it was a snap. Another thing I love is how easy it is to process payroll. What used to take half a day now takes about a half hour to process and another 15-30 minutes to record payroll into our accounting system.
