AutoTurn is feature-rich, easy to use, easy to customize, and has a large library of design vehicles. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It needs to be a bit easier to set up and maintain styles. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like that Autoturn is simple in the fact that it comes pre-loaded with many catalogs of vehicles to choose from. It is nice that I don't have to go searching to download and install the vehicle that I want (and if I did want something special, I could use something already in the catalog and just edit the dimensions).` Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes the software can be sluggish (although it actually might be my computer and AutoCAD that exaggerate this). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Works well and has continued to improve since inception. Realistic sized vehicles and turning radii. Works well once you have the hang of it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Difficult to maneuver at times and manipulate existing autoturn scenarios. No standard american SUV and sedan sized vehicles. For a sedan you must find a size that fits that is typically European or Asian with a strange name.
Difficulty maneuvering larger vehicles (such as WB-55) and manipulating to align with loading per se. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I takes the guess work out along with all the countless hour calculating the curves for trucks, trailers, aircrafts and large or long equipment of all makes sweep path for maneuvering for safety. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There are no dislikes, just a few limitations regarding to all makes and models of cars, truck, planes and special equipment. You may have to use a vehicle or equipment close or near equal to the vehicle you intend to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like how comprehensive the vehicle catalogue is. I like that I can drive the vehicle freehand or using CAD linework for the pathing. I also like that the software uses different colours to clarify what part of the vehicle is tracking where. This software is essential to intersection design, especially roadways with large commercial vehicles. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I wish there was more ability to create custom vehicles. If your vehicle is not in the database you have to contact transoft to create it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Provides an intuitive way of checking turning radii at various speeds for different design vehicles. Particularly useful when you're working with limited property where you need to keep the design tight. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The corporate licensing method often is problematic for our company, with people spending hours with IT just trying to get AutoTURN to work. This may be partially an issue with our own network, but AutoTURN is definitely one of the most problematic programs our designers have to deal with as far as licenses. When it does work, I've had issues with it crashing Civil 3D. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
